I heard this ad this morning. It was pretty much the form ads used to be until the very end. They just couldn't hold themselves back and had to call the Liberals clowns. This is why our country is so divided. No policy, just name calling.
$1000 approx for clubs
$3500 for a membership
$50 per game min if you don’t have membership
$150 golf shoes
Really effective ad in Canada
I don’t want advice from leaders throwing that in my face.I am trying to buy Canadian put food on the table and pinching pennies POILIEVRE you’re tone deaf !
I think he still has the full support of the people who loved it when he brought coffee and donuts to the Freedom Convoy. If the NDP and BQ vote held up, Poilievre’s projected share of the popular vote would give him a majority government.
Yeah, that has nothing to do with the point I was making. Throwing out an add about two old rich guys complaining about the Libs is the opposite of populism. And populism was the one thing Pierre had going for him.
WOW, really? All the boomers I know that have kids have always treated them with the "I want to give them everything I didn't have/get" and support them always.
My elder millennial self is very aware of that.
It's like as soon as enough of the WWII generation was gone they started acting like they beat the Germans instead of losing to the Vietnamese.
In USA once we turn 18 the Boomers who voted to keep their kids' wages low and to Defund Universities tell us that the reason we can't afford anything is that we spend too much money on ourselves when we treat ourselves to a "fancy coffee" when commuting between our second and third jobs.
Poilievre literally said " because of the Liberal government we need to pinch our pennies" then released a commercial where 2 guys are living high on the hog thanks to the Liberal government.
We bought our house during the Harper years. Our parents helped us with the down payment. During that time, Harper deregulated banking allowing 100 yr mortgages. The value of our house nearly tripled.
What I've also noticed is Carney is front and center in Liberal ads. The few NDP ads I've seen also feature Singh prominently. Can't say the same for Conservative ads. It's the 2 golf guys and Harper.
Wealthy boomers are made about that? I would have thought it is more like they are quite willing to share with their children as their parents shared with them. Maybe my family was just different.
They tried to temper the ridiculousness the golf by putting them at a janky driving range and dressing them like schlubs. They also had a really shitty grey day weather wise—the light is super flat and bland. Just a terrible piece of production regardless of the cruddy message.

The Libs should just replay PP's old "Canada is broken" commericals. They feature his misery, pessimism and his punchable face right up front.
We should also be calling the Harper years a lost conservative decade since house prices doubled then too.
Quite a twofer.
Totally out of touch.
But sure, blame Trudeau.
