Very strange that some of the blue ticks like Simon Evans on Twitter started slagging off Hislop when the Eye went in on Musk. Must be a coincidence, eh?
This chap is so far off my radar I thought the name was a made up one one in the Private Eye joke pages to sound like Constantly (Arse) Kissing. Having looked him up and seen he's real he's back off it now and hopefully it stays that way.
Ban the dogfooding social media from the UK. This amount of dis and mis information is not needed in any democratic country. RT, a media outlet, was banned for the same game plan. If they don't stop this, the UK should stop them.
Musk isn’t a friend he is of the same ilk of those that have not taken action on the the recommendations of the enquiries. Get it sorted and ignore Musk.
The "arslikhan post" bit is very clever and funny and is also 100% true. How sad to be the grovelling toad who is overcome with joy when the crazy, richest man in the world likes/retweets your bile.
The law purposely puts the Internet & SM sites in the same category as the Post Office, not magazines & publications. Otherwise, the Internet would be sued out of existence. Just imagine the implications if the PO was responsible for "editing" everything sent by mail.
Nice analogy, but 1657 was a long time ago. Does the PO have oversight of personal correspondence? Does it decide whether letters are too woke, or inciting hatred? Do its owners use it to push their personal agendas?
We've talked about this gang for 15 years now - there are grooming gangs in every town and city in the UK and their demographic is largely identical to the population at large - it's not a race or immigration issue.
Churchill once said "A lie gets half way around the world before the truth gets its pants on." He would be absolutely appalled by modern social media. A so called influencer can make something up and within a few hours, it will be presented as a proven fact to millions.
He certainly didn’t say that. He would not have known what the words “pants” meant, and if he did it would certainly not have meant “trouser. Or even, as the actual quote uses, “boots”.
And Churchill didn’t say it anyway. The first known usage of the quote is from the 1870s, the decade in which he was born. Its actual origins are disputed.
Every smart aphorism is attributed to Twain, Churchill or Wilde. Usually wrongly. In this case probably not but it’s not directly attributable to anyone.
Good that not in a good way, the guy is really annoying previously he was pretending to be a defender of Ukrainians and was invited to speak on their behalf almost to all UK media outlets.
He was shamelessly exploiting the title of the Ukrainian in the UK at the expense of real victims. He does not represent Ukrainians, while he was speaking on their behalf. Whether he has some relatives their or not is another issue.
