I just need to do a slightly unscientific bit of research. How many hours a day do you work? (as in actually work rather than just the standard 8 ish hours ).

In the past 10-12 hours but I’m now retired and spend time on things I care about and feel I can make a difference. Currently a couple of cricketing activities trying to get youngsters and former players engaged with the game. Stay strong 🏏🏏
I'm office for 10 hours, grab a snack. Is it proper head down working, probably not, but I do a job that has lots of pondering moments. At home, it ranges given flexibility but now do 3 days a week in the office. Also, mind never really switches off so 'never not working' springs to mind!
I think for a lot of people there isn't a clear line between working and not working. Is reading working? Is replying to emails working? How about replying to whatsapp messages? Is thinking working? Is posting on bluesky working?
I'm somewhat odd so I'm paid for 6 hrs 54 mins excluding breaks and I probably work 6:40 or thereabouts and actively growl at colleagues gassing or playing "forced fun" bingo. Ditto my boss has me in a 1-2-1 with her tomorrow : I want to be working not ticking her vacuopus corporate boxes
Get in at 8, home at 4, 40 minutes for lunch.
Assuming that meetings, appraisals etc. count as work, knock off about an hour for loo, making coffee, gassing about football, cricket, music, and the state of the planet.
If we're talking actual work, then probably knock off another hour.

Thinking about it makes me sound a bit lazy!!
I’m more a 6am guy than a 9pm guy though!
Most days these days, very little 😉
