Electricity, hands down. Lava cools, lasers wouldn't work without electricity. A bolt of lightning is as hot as the surface of the sun, electricity powers life, it is always present, and electrons are present and active at the subatomic level.

I promise I took it just as seriously. :) I figure for lava, it's a dose of heat. Some of it is hot enough you don't have to touch it to burn, and technically, it's still lava for a bit even when you can interact with parts of it.
