Covid was the worst pandemic in 100 years. Johnson made so many mistakes that UK had the wort economic hit and the highest death toll in Europe. 713,000 more people are now economically inactive than before it. Yet Kendall chooses to repeat anecdotal evidence here that young ill people are lazy.

Kendall has never had a real, productive, job and, consequently, doesn't appreciate that having the subservient status of *employee* is, in itself, stressful.

The UK is lagging far behind on treatments and research. I’d argue it’s almost become anti-science in its Covid approach!
When a company invests in the UK, the beneficiaries of that investment are often those young people who have no experience, when the job market collapses they get hit hardest.
But yes, Govt. needs to look at Covid +Long Covid ONS data: affecting 2 million+ of which around 20% are unable to work.
LC causes brain damage, which may mean depression &/or anxiety.
And nobody seems to be joining the dots between the alleged 'surge' in mental illness in young people and the long-term effects of Covid infection, despite the known links.
