That’s my 1.5 y/o niece. She has CP from brain damage resulting from being 16 weeks premature. I fear for her future, especially since my partner is a teacher and warned my BIL about what would happen. BIL didn’t care. He’s too busy hating immigrants and blacks to care about his own kid’s safety.
That is sad and I feel for your whole family. There are many more out there in that same situation. We need to support them and each other. Its apparent that we are all we have now. Thank you for sharing your story may it reach others. Respect, love, and peace. 🙏
Correct. It’s my stepson and it’s his own MOTHER with a Trump flag flying outside her house. He is autistic, epileptic, not verbal, and has high support needs. He has an IEP. He goes to school in Indiana. I would never forgive my parent for doing something like that
Indiana leg. votes soon on a bill that cuts off support for high-needs after three years. If you’ve already had three years, welp, you’re out. Not sure how all these parents are going to go to work when their children have no centers to go to anymore. These kids will have no support. Awful.
Sorta. This is spite from her because my husband and I are very loud and vocal progressives. I am the secretary of our local OutCenter’s events and activities committee. I’m also nonbinary and she called my husband a fa*g** on VIDEO last summer. She is a homophobic narcissistic bigot
We can hope. I just do my best to make sure that when he’s here, he feels safe. I was raised by my stepdad so I’m really just returning what was given to me: love
....and he is also losing access to respite care his parent might need, medical care beyond basics, nurse or pca services, physical and occupational therapy, special transportation,.....
I am aware. I am his stepmom. Been around for almost a decade. My husband is fighting for full custody - she doesn’t even use those services when they’re needed.
