When Johnson announced his "40 hospitals", he only provided enough funding for 6.
So Labour were bequeathed an unfunded promise of 34 hospitals. They're not cancelling anything, if the original "plans" included no money

Not only was only funding for 6 but about 30 of them weren't even 'New' hospitals - just planned maintenance being misrepresented by the Tories. Labour have reclassified those as planned maintenance and taken them off the list of so-called new hospitals.
Deciding not to fund critical NHS infrastructure projects would not be my choice. We should fund them by taxing those with broadest shoulders.
Disappointed by Labour? https://join.greenparty.org.uk
Labour are funding critical infrastructure, check the Budget out.
What would the greens do? Nothing. You’d be too busy blocking renewable energy projects because it spoiled your view!
Our proposals were costed and funded by taxing those with the broadest shoulders, which Labour are also not doing.

So claiming that Labour aren’t funding critical infrastructure, when they have increased funding by more than you would AND implying you would have funded the £30bn extra, just isn’t true, is it??

We need to live within our means and plan properly.
I did vote Green last time but that was to keep the Tory and reform out.
Next GE I will do the same
That is not a good look.
The climate, the vulnerable, the sick, those living in poverty, and our young and old need hope and help now.
Disappointingly they are not getting it from this government.
So where else to turn?
Having media owned by corporations to whom conservatives give massive tax breaks in return for favourable coverage may be a factor in this outcome.
But Starmer should have made the point earlier that the money wasn't there.
Did you know that while the UK went from having to import almost all of the oil it used to being a net oil exporter, easily worth £1O billion a year to the treasury, and yet infrastructure declined drastically during her tenure.
Soon - if not already - Brexit is costing our economy that amount in lost tax revenue, every single year. As in without Brexit we could finance building 40 new "hospitals" every year.
