The only way trump will even look at supporting capping CC interest rates at 18% is if he gets a 15% corporate tax rate put in place. Otherwise, he'll let banks capitalize their profits with higher interest rates. The ideal American to trump is a consumer buried in debt.

Look a bit deeper. They are actually holding his feet to the fire for making promises to follow specific policies that they each endorse. He probably does not actually support any of these things, but by constantly pointing out his hypocrisy they can take a bit of flesh as he waffles about.
