I'd like to think that massive disease outbreaks and deaths will make Americans appreciate and value public health and vaccines. Then again, I remember 2020.

At this point it’s hard to tell which outbreak you’re referring to and that speaks volumes. Bird Flu? Measles? They cut the TB foreign aid so that’ll likely pick up soon enough. Dealer’s choice.
Well if Covid is 1% mortality rate, 5-10% from measles and polio might wake them up. With these folks it doesn’t count unless it directly affects them.
Unless they're falling out on the streets with blood coming out of their noses and mouths, I don't think it's going to break through with those fools. They require spectacle.
Hopefully the surge in craziness in 2020 was due to the lockdowns and the coercive pressure to get vaccinated, and experiencing an upturn in disease without those factors will have the opposite effect
