The real crazy thing about Cybertruck is the opportunity cost. It's not just that Tesla built an obvious piece of garbage that only appeals to the maybe 100,000 worst Americans alive, it's that they invested in this instead of improving the core lineup with like a large family hauler or cheap hatch.

idk, the story of every business he's been involved w/ seems to be about success in spite of, & directly disproportionate to, his actual involvement in the business (rather than just promotion), coupled w/ a lot of stupid ideas, toxic management & ultimately being hated by his colleagues & employees

the difference is that unlike paypal, no one could wall him off or push him out of twitter or tesla when he went off the rails. there is a thread of continuity there, but it's scaled wayyy up recently
