The same thing happened with Farscape. The writers thought they were getting another season, corporate nonsense happened, and then they had to cram all the major plot points into a two-part miniseries.

My uncle introduced me to this masterpiece a couple months ago and already I am mourning the loss of such a show. Genuinely the best media I’ve consumed (since Metal Gear) 💔

I was 20 when the show premiered, and it has remained my favorite thing since. New seasons felt like checking in with a friend you hadn't seen in years, and seeing where each of you were in life. I had hoped we could grow old together. We're still going to, but the relationship is more one sided now
