I'm a San Diegan, I don't know how it rates on these lists but the fact that there is no Rail between San Diego and Temecula/Riverside county or LA and Temecula is ridiculous. Every time I drive up the 15 to visit my Temecula friends I get so angry that there isn't a train I can take.

Huntsville is the biggest city in Alabama and doesn't even have any proposed rail. Its so disappointing. Birmingham to Huntsville, to Nashville is such obvious rail line, imo.

Just sitting here weeping at Kansas City's gravity model. Big cities too distant for HSR, near cities too small for conventional rail prioritization. What's the best alternative transportation solution for a city like this?

Intercity coach buses! Not sexy but practical and could make a big impact.

On the positive, State of MO is working towards a 3rd daily River Runner train, potentially w/ thru service to Chicago. And I think Heartland Flyer to Oklahoma City is still planned to start running in 2029.

As a huge intercity rail fan, and a resident of SLC, it’s just depressing to know we’ll never have a lot of rail links.

I’d love to see American sleeper trains make a big comeback though.

Getting on the train in the evening, going to sleep, and waking up in LA would be choice.

As a former resident of that part of NW NJ, I’d like to put in a word for connecting the Lehigh Valley via the NJT High Bridge Line. The track all already exists. It just needs some signal upgrades and complete reconstruction of the all passenger rail stations west of High Bridge
