JUST IN: The Trump administration is ordering all federal employees in DEI roles be placed on paid leave by Wednesday evening, according to a new memo from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

I think the employees placed on leave worked in a DEI department or role, regardless of race. But the headline does sound confusing, like they were “DEI Hires”

He was impeached twice last term and it didn't make a lick of difference! Until they change the rules so that impeachment actually means something, it's a waste of time and resources.
BOYCOTT EVERYTHING. Until people who care about all Americans are in office, don't let one dollar of your money go to the economy of a corrupt administration.
DEI is about ensuring organizations have a range of people on staff and in management who understand and can knowledgeably serve the needs of diverse customers. Businesses do it because it increases market share and profits. Governments do it because it improves service. Don’t demonize DEI.
Don’t you get it? It doesn’t matter any more what it means. He is firing people who work for the feds in any DEI role. If you worked for the Feds and needed your job would you promote DEI??? DEI is over.
I’m not attacking you at all. We are beyond trying to help folks understand what it means. The DEI roles in the federal government are now gone and the red states will follow.
I am no scholar but I think layoffs and tariffs are not going to help the strong economy that he inherited. The one thing Trump does great is fucking things up, so I guess we are on the right track.

My definition of a diversity hire is all the unqualified (and literally criminal), insanely unintelligent extremist weirdos this administration is set to hire.
This administration should treat the working class with the respect they have long deserved. The work of good employees should not be undermined by bad politics.
Hundreds of thousand employees are minorities working fir the Federal Government. Have them unemployed and you're going to have another Great Depression.
Paid leave is directly contrary to Musk's/Trump's goal of increasing gov't efficiency. With paid leave, taxpayers get nothing for something, rather than getting more for less. Seems like their motivation is something other than efficiency and cost cutting.
