Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like a disk is inserted, therefore it won't click (they only do that when no disk is inserted, as the Shugart standard has no "disk in" signal, but rather a "disk change" signal. So since a disk is present, it never clicks until removed.

It's hard to see if there's a disk in the drive, but you're correct that there'd be no clicking if one was.

I went CSI level "Enhance" on this. 😅. Looks like the eject buttons are out (more so than a 1000 normally does when no disk is in).

It does seem like people could turn off the machines. I guess no harm in that if the disks have been setup to just boot up and likely display a screen capture.

That’s awesome. Does anybody know, if the original disk images or files are publicly available? I’m aware of the story rescuing the disks with KryoFlux, but was never able to find the files. Only bad cropped and highly compressed JPEGs of Warhols work.

Good question. I'm also not sure. I saw the same thing about the recovery process but I don't recall if they were released.
