This is just my crazy theory, but I believe John Calvin killed Christianity. It's impossible to be a "true" Christian in the United States because even though we are more secular now, our entire society is based around his theory of predestination, and that has bled into every denomination by now.

not that I think either musk or rogan holds any sincere religious beliefs but all of american homegrown evangelicalism is not recognizable as any form of christian tradition at this point. they adopted jesus as a mascot in name and image alone, for brand recognition.
