Well, I guess it's my turn for the new name announcement.
When I chose Jessica, it was because the person I was with at the time told me I couldn't have the name I actually wanted.
Well, after 9 years, I'm correcting that mistake.
Bitches, I'm Abra.

Comments
I actually had another friend named Abra, in college.
I'm sorry you were made to feel like you couldn't claim this for yourself. I'm glad you're doing it now.
-Still going to be publishing my books as my old name because β¨brandingβ¨
-Abra, like cadabra. Because I'm fucking magical.
-Yes I used the name for one of my characters when I thought I couldn't have it. I'm okay with that.
Person: "So why don't you change it?"
Me: "No. *I* can't do that. Only everyone else.")
And I am so very happy that you also feel like youβre in a place where you can do this, too! Itβs so cool and courageous to *keep* going for
I mean, right back at you. Watching you go on this journey has been amazing, and I'm honored to have been a part of it.
So what are we doing with the rest of our year?
Should we refer to your old name as a pen name now?
I have since had a character named βBrynn,β and the current iteration of my main OC is βOryn.β Iβ¦may have a typeβ¦
Anyway, I wholeheartedly approve of this practice!
Damn it, I came to the comments to say this.
Congratulations, Abra! <3~
(Also, quite coincidentally, the story I've been writing for... um, a while now has a character named Abra.)
And βThe Everwifeβ is amazing
Listen to the end, if you do listen? π
