Heh, I wish I had a good story, but I just scrolled thru The Truman Show, desperately hunting for a decent title! I didn’t want to use a modern reality ref bc it’s historical non-fiction— & I was looking for something tied to workplace tensions, so this felt perfect, as a command from the showrunner
Incidentally, you should 100% read the book listed beneath that review –Jennifer Keishin Armstrong’s When Women Invented Television is a jaw-dropping, sharply written, wildly entertaining non-fiction account of an largely unknown period in cultural history. I LOVED the book & learned a ton from it
