Just check SAAB's website, they co-developed the GMLRS, and otherwise make the works, from anti tank weapons, to 400 km range missiles, to fighters and airborne EW platforms.

Yes, but these specific systems are not manufactured by any European company. And they’re critical for modern war-making. There is no European precision-mlrs, anti-radiation missile, tactical ballistic missile or stealth fighter.
Ukraine has developed drones. The sorts of systems Europe currently depends on the US for have development timelines of 10 years (20 for stealth aircraft). Taurus took 10 years. Storm shadow took 15. PrSM took 8. Meteor took 20. Europe can build these things, but not quickly.
And stop giving credit to US borrowings. With a little political courage the uge amount of money spared by europeans could be used in 🇺🇲 for the benefit of european instead of funding US industry. Not sure anyone will understand but I heard this from economists and it was cristal clear...in French😅
It is a pressure point for the US gov, good one too. For the short term. They can take the deal, the money and deliver. Compensate for the time to scale EU production, R&D of systems the US provided via NATO. IF the US doesn't take the deal the US def industry is dead much faster.
Yes. I cannot understand the lack of foresight by european buyers regarding the F-35. The Israelis saw the dangers of being dependent of the I6-system and managed a deal to install their own.
I am sure there are some European governments have the guts to cancel orders - dont look at us here in the UK our PM is still on his hands and knees kissing trump's feet.
Missiles and other types of special ammunition should still be ordered from America though, will take years for Europe to be self-sufficient. Fill the warehouses while you can.
Im not sure I agree… I think we should still buy US weapons before they sell it to russia instead. And we still need it. However we should of course expand our own capabilities. For the last three years we had word sallad after word sallad from European ”leaders”.
'm not sure the Russians can afford to be purchasing kit that isn't compatible with their systems outside their own production lines, you don't see them purchasing much from China right now do you

The former have been going up since 5th november, the latter have been going down.
The market figured it out early
(South Korean players are important since they are both good and good at delivering quickly )

Also avoid buying equipment you can't use later.
but the point of the OP is orders of future armaments for European armies should be put on hold - I would just cancel them.
Make Europe Great Again.
