In my house, when we eat brisket it’s brisket all around. The way our 2 Anatolians & 5 cats surround me, staring, I wouldn’t dare deprive them of such a treat lest I wake to find myself disemboweled by the crew.
Whenever there's beef on my plate, my dog is right there next to me. Pleading with his eyes and drooling ever more whenever I hand him a sliver to gulp down.
Our German Shepherd mix Hazel Pennybones stared diligently while I cleaned all the meat off the chicken today, but I failed to snap a shot of her beggar face.
1 of my cats loves brisket and especially the gravy. Try passing off gravy granules and she won't touch it. She only likes the red wine brisket gravy 😄
Thank you? But it's kinda just who I am, I refuse to see an animal starve if I can help it. Plus animals deserve treats especially on holidays , even the one's without owners
My kitteh used to "argue" with my dad about whether he would get fish. My dad would present his argument, kitteh would present his side laconically. . . .
Mine *hate* cooked meat. Just made them homecooked dinner and they were like “mama we wanted it raw”. Well there is too much bird flu for that my furry pterodactyls
So mine have a healthy vet approved high protein food with nutrients, but every once in a blue o might offer some cooked food w/out onions/garlic etc. A kitty was 🤓 when made chicken thighs, found a safe piece, he liked that. He did not like the chicken bone in breast meat…
My sister's husband gave their cat a taste of smoked turkey and ham at the table one Christmas, and she never left them alone when they were eating after that.
our Skitty is so gentle about wanting to try human meats - she'll get up next to you while you eat and stare at your plate in awe until she builds up the bravery to sniff a little closer or reach out a suspicious paw. give her a little silver of steak and it's 50/50 whether she'll actually eat it 😅
only real meat she insists on is canned tuna - if someone cracks open a can she *demands* her offering, and you simply *must* give her a little scoop of fish if you want her to leave you alone
I LOVE cats...they own us, don't they, not the other way round. I sort of admire that and I cave every time. I wish to come back as a well cared for feline in my next life.♥️
That’s how cats roll…. Now a dog on the other hand would sad eye until you cave in and give them some brisket. No biggie until a 1/2 hour later
When said dog is passing gas that could easily clear a room let alone an entire house. 😂

*Except Raisin' Caine chicken. He refuses to eat that unseasoned crap.
At least not eating the pets!

It's amazing how often my dad lost. 😁
Brisket is the best thing on the planet. 🥰
Now me...I'm certain that Serrano ham was intended for me. 😼
