I am the most untraditional Thanksgiving dinner maker we are having prime rib and baked sweet potatoes and cheesy cauliflower and salad because turkey last way too long in my house and it's too much to make for Thanksgiving when you only have four people
That sounds good too I don't think any food has to be traditional for Thanksgiving anymore I mean there's some people who just eat tamales at least in Arizona
A devilish, thrill-seeking contrarian (with teeth intact) who once tried mustard and found it too spicy, I am a duck version of Ira Glass, and I am correct!
Here in KY we passed a state law declaring it can only be called "dressing." It contains cornbread and biscuits and is never stuffed inside the bird. 😆
there was always a certain kind of post at the other place where I knew I didn't get the joke but it was funny anyway and I'm glad to see the phenomenon continue here
Sweet potato, potato, zucchini, broccoli, red onion bake for 15mins, throw chicken peas in bake 5 more mins, drizzle garlic mayonnaise to finish. Nom nom.
I’m everything. I want to try every single thing on that plate. Then when the leftovers come, I’ll really know what I like and pick my favorite. At that point, I will grab a nice, rare steak.
My stuffing isn't gross. It involves SD croutons, green apple & onion chunks, Italian sausage, pecans, & hard apple cider, plus the usual poultry spices. It's very tasty and my own invention 🙂
They are a very tasty combination. This year they became both stuffing and dressing because the turkey was very small, so hadn't much space for stuffing. Filled 2 Pyrex with what didn't fit and had to freeze one for later consumption. Really exceptional with a bit of turkey gravy drizzled atop it.
I ABHOR that cranberry jelly-ish slop!! Give me properly made REAL cranberries cooked over the stovetop, with real orange peel and orange juice added!!
Hmmmm… my favorite dish is not here. It’s a toss up between Kamala’s corn bread stuffing (which means I’m… an acrobat who’s afraid of heights?) and sweet potatoes with brown sugar and pecans (full of childlike wonder and… rage?).

well, duh 😏
see ya tomorrow.
☺️
Does that make you Ira Glass whose American Life is wearing a concert Tshirt?
Red meat is pig and cow, white meat is chicken, turkey and such, what is black meat?
Then I had kids. I introduced all three of them to dark meat early. I have made a fatal error.
Thrill-seeking is about right though.

What ever your pleasure save room for plenty of love and laughter. Enjoy 😊
Nice to have that verified.
Okay!
I’m a contrarian devil who must be stopped and always correct.
Makes good sense
I wonder what that makes me?
"Thanksgiving dinner is just a glorified potluck where everyone agrees to pretend the turkey isn't the worst part."
