Good morning resisters. It’s day 3 of our work stop. Call in sick, take a partial day off, go in late, leave early, tell your family and friends they can help by joining you and please like and repost. Join the protesting scheduled for 4/5/25. Thank you fellow resisters. RESIST RESIST RESIST!
Stop using these food delivery services. They are not helping restaurants (some of them are small businesses), depriving them of their normal profits. The drivers are not getting a fair shake, either. Pick up your own food or cook at home.
Don't use any of those services.
They take a huge cut of the restaurant's profits. If you like a restaurant, go eat in, or do your own take away. Don't use these delivery services. Support the restaurant instead.
Wonder Group, founded by Marc Lore, who founded Jet (acquired by Walmart) bought Grubhub from Just Eat for $650 million. The purchase was completed in Jan 2025. This move aims to integrate Grubhub’s restaurant network with Wonder’s food delivery services. At one time Bezos had a piece of Just Eat.
Has anyone proven that Bezos owns Grubhub? Everyone is deleting the app and canceling accounts based on this post alone? I don't even think I have a Grubhub account, but purple should do some fact checking before boycotting a business.
DoorDash sends their money to MAGA republicans and is against campaign finance reform while UberEats supports Democrats and campaign finance reform.
I have deleted my DoorDash app.

I received a USPS mailer from Amazon this week touting their disaster relief delivery efforts over the past 8 years. So I believe boycotts & reduced spending are working, if the company feels compelled to send these. Good corporate citizenship pre-2024 election- I don’t want Amazon to replace FEMA.
I stopped using @Grubhub when they cancelled an order because "an ingredient was not available" then reordered the same thing from a different service and got it. Also, Grubhub drivers used to pick up food and just keep it.
“Another scam to say, bye bye too.. DoorDash may be adding a pay day app, so you will be able buy on credit, until Payday? Yikes! They’ll hide the interest rates under the guise of boiler room collection agency’s. They aren’t fooling anyone. A simple predatory loan scam! Fact checking is welcomed.
Anything these greedy oligarchs do, just boycott to leave them in the dust. Time for these masters of the universe face their reckoning before the American people.
I didn't own a vehicle.I'm agoraphobic. Literally housebound. I get grocery deliveries and takeout deliveries and I'm so grateful for the drivers who take care of that stuff. Just giving an example of who those services help.
And maybe, just maybe, unless you’re housebound or have some other compelling reason, go get your own damn food. Glob forbid you actually buy the ingredients and prepare it yourself.
Yes!✊️💯 I haven't bought or used anything from or by #amazon @jeffbezos for about 15 years now!🌞👍🥳 I was an early boycotter of that obviously evil company & businessman. I also boycott #walmart & of course, #tesla #elonmusk completely💯💥🔥🌞😉🙂
All right - basically America & capitalism-imperialism needs to be boycotted & abolished all together!🤦♂️🤷♂️🤗😉😀 It ALL needs to go, esp the Wall St. banks & global corps & all of their white collar foot soldier tools like politicians, big law firms, the MIC; usury & compound interest must go, too!✊️
I wouldn't go quite that far, but the "libertarian" (i.e. Social Darwinist) nonsense must be hanged from a tree & the markets and corp Amurikkka need to be leashed, brought to heel and re-trained. I do agree tho: current oligarchs must be mercilessly destroyed and all their toys of control broken.
I highly recommend reading #Marx #Engels #Lenin #Stalin #Mao & all the rest of those great thinkers, including American ones like #WEBDubois #WilliamZFoster & #GusHall. I myself am still new to them & reading through all of their wonderfully illuminating, edifyifing literature & it is so helpful &
So this is my issue with the “Goods Unite US” app. The information is not always accurate or up to date. Bezos owns Whole Foods and therefore cannot be considered a “democratic” company any longer.
They definitely don’t update their information in real time, or use information that is misleading.
When Bezos hands Trump 1 billion dollars for his inauguration fund, and suppresses journalists and free speech at @washingtonpost.com, after purchasing it. The mask is off.
He Diversifies his investment in “both sides”, so he can influence whichever party holds power. Most large corporations do this
I use it to, but it also shows companies we’ve decided are questionable, like GrubHub as being blue. GH is listed as 100% Dem as far as donations. Makes it a little confusing!
And if it’s the case that GH and other Dem leaning companies are affiliated with places like Amazon, perhaps they need to be encouraged to ditch those relationships, just like we have.
Washington Post/whole foods/Blue origin/meta/Facebook/threads/AI.reverie/novi/Instagram/WhatsApp/CTL-lans/onavo/Facebook Messenger/beluga/Oculus VR/LiveRail/tbh/Vidpresso/Atlas solutions/Ascenta/Little Eye Labs/ProtoGeo/Neuralink/Boring/GEICO/Dairy Queen/Duracell/fruit of the loom/pampered chef etc.
I stopped using GrubHub 7 years ago when I placed an order, was charged for the order, and then it somehow "disappeared" from their system and took me a week to get my money back and only because I disputed charge with my bank. Rarely use any food delivery apps now.
Anything that Bozos owns is not getting my business. I never use food delivery services anyway, but it's good to know so I don't ever give that jerk my money.
I've been trying to be understanding, but admittedly I'm just feeling super annoyed that the majority of people I know can't manage something simple as a boycott. In the US, ppl just can't seem to actually care enough to stand up against fascist oligarchs
When Bezos bent the knee I pulled all my photos from Amazon photos, deleted prime and the app. Switched to StoryGraph from goodreads and to Libby from audible. That fucker won’t get a penny more from me, ever.
My town doesn’t have Whole Foods so that was easy for me. But before they sold to Amazon they used to have these massive chocolate covered macaroons that I still think about 12 years later.
They overcharge customers, treat their Drivers terrible and pay them slave wages, with the majority of the money going to the elites at the top. There have been numerous times Drivers united to protest and refused to work to try and create change. The executives at the company don’t care.
So did many businesses as their corporate mandates dictated. So did Google, whose employee base is almost entirely blue. Do your research before you regurgitate trivial facts.
Venmo & PayPal are Peter Theil ventures. His money bought & brought JD to politics. His a Musk pay. He’s also bought politicians in other countries. Having money isn’t the problem if you do GOOD things with it, yet tampering to profit is Malice & Bad😠
If you aren’t using the app “Goods Unite Us” you should, its a simple app that lets you know how retailers spend their political donations and policies.
in which Prime members get Grubhub + for free? Makes sense if you want to pay the insane delivery fees just to stick it to Amazon, which is not gaining transactional revenue out of this arrangement
I would like to know why service members in remote areas overseas are having to order their food from Amazon because the military is telling them to because they can't get food to them. With only 1 approved restaurant that runs out of food and the US Gov having troubles sending food this is BS
Already dumped Amazon, Grubhub, Target, Home Depot, Publix, Whole Foods
They keep this up & we’re going to buy some chickens, cows, couple sheep & a mule for plowing.
Don’t know how much the fines will be. Our neighbors in our cozy, little beach community..aren’t going to like this one bit!
Right, i didn't dig any deeper than i did because a 2% stake is a bit granular to make a sweeping post about in the first place. I say this as someone who doesn't even use any of the delivery services, they all steal from their workers as far as I'm concerned.
Agree. And it’s nearly impossible to avoid all businesses that Bezos may invest a small portion in. I believe I came across an article about Grubhub partnering with Amazon to promote Grubhub but not sure when/if still current.
Some decent people & businesses are on Amazon to promote their product.
It’s a partnership that goes back to like 2019. It allows grubhub drivers to use Amazon key to get into large apartment complexes and to use the (best ever made) Amazon house by house map
Right?! I think about what I need much more thoroughly before I decide to buy something, because I usually have to figure out where to get it. And I’m being far more aware of who my money goes to when I’m shopping.
Ah, there are no good delivery companies. They all suck. The lazy tax is very high, and then they steal tips. Plus, tip in advance means they dgaf about your food
I don’t use Grubhub, but I get my groceries delivered from Safeway via Door Dash. If we are ordering food delivery, we use Uber Eats. I’m disabled and can’t drive anymore, so it’s very helpful for me.
My Eero mesh router system failed a couple of weeks ago. It was nearly 5 years old so it was a reasonable lifespan. I went to see if I could find it online - I had bought it at the Apple Store in 2020. I could only find it on Amazon and then I found it was a wholly owned subsidiary. Nope.
Please remember the folks that do those gig jobs have families to feed too. Hate the platform but help the drivers make a living and please remember to tip. They will thank you!
That's one way to continue to enable evil I suppose, cut evil out, don't enable it or it will continue to grow and bind people ever closer into its slaves
I wouldn’t be so quick on Target. They are still more progressively focused than most retailers. Reserve the boycotts for the most deserving or you just end up spending your money on someone who is worse but manages to stay out of the spotlight.
I see that Wonder Corp purchased GrubHub in ’24 and the guy who runs wonder corp is a former Amazon executive. But I can’t find anything about Amazon/Bezos now owning Wonder Corp or even being an investor. Not that I’m trying to sway people to stay with GrubHub, does anyone have a link for this?
May you provide more information? (Sincerely asking.) I thought that person was an orginal founder and perhaps still a significant shareholder but no longer on the board/owner of the company.
I have never used Grubhub but people I know quit because it is often unreliable.
Also, don't watch shows/movies produced by the Amazon/Max joint. This is unpopular because it involves your fave actors, but passing on those shows is a much bigger economic hit than Grubhub.
At this point, does it matter if we delete the app; because soon, almost everyone won’t be ordering from any of the delivery services.. because we can’t afford it. If this is winning. I would rather be a loser
My daughter goes to a school in a college town. She and her friends used to spend hundreds on Grubhub. Now they’ve pretty much put them out of business .

Who will have money for take-out?? No less money to pay for the luxury of delivery!

Super unreliable.
I only use uber eats or I use there
own delivery .
I have deleted my DoorDash app.

(I didn't use it anyway.)
Stop making these guys richer.
I don’t support Musk.
Yuck
They definitely don’t update their information in real time, or use information that is misleading.
But their PAC funding all goes to democrats, so I’m torn.
He Diversifies his investment in “both sides”, so he can influence whichever party holds power. Most large corporations do this
It illustrates where companies PAC funds are going and buy accordingly.
When I shop retail
I also research ownership, and make my decision on the percentage.
Like, bezos makes way too much money off Amazon still, so i don’t shop there at all
GrubHub/Amazon/tesla/Airbnb/Walmart/Target/Home Depot/Clear Channel Media/MSM/All maga brands, businesses, products, and services.
Stop financing, Elon Musk!
Find a pizza joint or Chinese place or whatever that delivers, and order from them, or don't order delivery
It’s not rocket science.

They are dead to me.
Heck, I even tell Alexa to fu@k off!
Hahaha.
Yeah. DELETED.

Wonder acquired Grubhub from Just Eat Takeaway more recently. See Grubhub’s About page and timeline.

They don't realize we are not playing the game.
Prolly for the best, they’re a massive money sink

I'm already looking for a new non-amazon owned.
Goal: delete Amazon 95% from our lives??
We CAN live without them!

Not defending by any means, just an inquiry.
One day these weirdos will realize no Honkey likes them. Maybe then they’ll shut the fuck up.
Also, don't watch shows/movies produced by the Amazon/Max joint. This is unpopular because it involves your fave actors, but passing on those shows is a much bigger economic hit than Grubhub.
