The media doesn't want you to see that it's not a jail, it's slavery.

one of the tasks of the American left is to explain to retail and service workers that this is the future that America has planned for them

Jumex juice drinks
Coffee from El Salvador
That's like half of their exports, and I'm sure a lot is produced by prisoner slaves.

The Jumex in El Salvador is a textile factory.
i can Confirm Jumex (mx) closed their Salvador plant https://www.revistaeyn.com/lasclavesdeldia/jumex-cierra-planta-de-produccion-de-el-salvador-DAEN921417
These people DISGUST ME!
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery "except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted".
That's literally the text from https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/13th-amendment
Blepyrus: But who will till the soil?
Praxagora: The slaves.
(tr. O'Neill 1938, Perseus)
They're really just creating a legion of street fashion brands this way
Those V2 rockets that bombed England were made by 10,000 prisoner slaves and more were killed making the weapons than their use
low on the list of country-on-fire priorities
but dems need to get that last bit of slavery out of the constitution
If he had told "the truth," we would never have seen this video.
Yay sweat shop work! /Facetious
"Manual labor teaching new skills and trades while helping to make them more self-sufficient"
I am curious though, what kinds of programs would you want to see for prisoners?
Idle hands and all.
Do you feel they deserve minimum wage? Would that make it ok?
I'm trying to wrap my head around the outrage, I feel like I'm missing something.
- Howard Lutnick, Trump's Secretary of Commerce
(Facetious sarcasm, in case the tone isn't obvs). (And I'm very sorry for her experience)
🖕🏽
It's a FORM OF SLAVERY!
How did that kid get in there with permission to film?
Who is indoctrinating these kids to believe this is a good thing?
WTAF America.
Even if they are more subhuman for lacking empathy.
🤦♀️
Normalizing sweatshops again in ‘Murica. Profoundly disturbing. Who do they think is going to end up there? Their own people, the Reality TV crowd, dumped from sucking at the government teat.
Too rich.
90 years of legal institutionalized slavery.
Although, they do technically get paid $.23-$1.15 an hour, so not full slaves with such generous wages.
Dude, we got prisoners working our McDonalds and Burger King in some states.
...But then again, I think drug prohibition needs to be replaced with a harm-reduction model.
Crime is a product of macro-level socioeconomic factors long before it is the individual choice.
We need to address systemic issues that create crime, and genuine help criminals get back on track.
IMO, that's because high prison populations benefit certain portions of the ruling class (even though they drain money overall).
We have more people in prison in America than we have soldiers.
Sometimes the realise day paper work dissapears mysteriously. If they bother to give an excuse at all.
But hey - if someone is making a profit from this slave labor - then expect it to be scaled up. Way up.
Speaking of this - where is Erik Prince?
Also, El Salvador was importing clothes from the US? Like....recently?
I'm boycotting anything from El Salvador
(Meanwhile, our state prisons rent the use of prisoners for cheap labor.)

I bet you're a huge racist loser so nothing to be concerned about.
Even if they did have a criminal record, when and how do they ever get out?
I'm not against prisoners working, but let's not pretend once it is obligatory it won't be slavery.
Most folks don't think slavery is a thing anymore, let alone that the USA has been using imprisoned folks as slaves all along. And NOW tRump has our country participating in slave marketing.🤷🏻♀️
How much are we paying them?!
Their pretrial detention can last around 2 years.
🇸🇻 💸 🇺🇸 🤔
These days US prisoners are firefighters (but can't get hired after they finish serving their time) and leased out to fast food restaurants to save the franchise owners from having to pay benefits, for PENNIES an hour.
You made slaves of my prisoners!
It's two bad things in one!
(Both shrug. Big friendly laughter as they clink their slave produced goods together in a toast.)
One thing: once they get released their “learned skills” will not be able to earn a decent wage because, competition from these concentration camps producing stuff dirt cheap.
Etc.
Unfortunately the non-criminal salvadoreans seem to think it’s a good thing
There I fixed it for you, since we do this, too. Though firefighters in California can make up to $11.24 a DAY if they're working an active fire. So they can buy their own soap for $2.25 & pay $1.25 for a pack of ramen.
They are not deporting anyone, they are TRAFFICKING them, and anyone in the administration involved in this should be charged with that crime.

Is this funded by Project 2025 to "Make Slavery Cool Again?"
Yay slavery.
Also the fact that El Salvador isn't really known for its due process, so the locals themselves are probably there on trumped up charges.
So whitewashing their "work program" is great collaborator work.
Classic strongman shit.
but they are learning a new skill
Needless to say, the people of El Salvador get NOTHING from the profits on the work of the enslaved. A few wealthy people make a lot. Maybe a government official or two takes a chunk. Nobody else sees a penny.
Just imagine! Two thirds of infinity! That sure is a lot of time!
So all they have to serve is, let me check my math... oh. I see.
Then again, many would argue modern capitalism is just rebranded slave labor. there’s a reason Foxconn installed suicide nets outside the factories where they made the iPhone I’m using to type this.
(1 day of work counts as 1 + 2 days of decrease = 3 days served. 1/3 of 10 years is 3 yrs 4 months)

They do NOT pay the folks in ADOC for their work. Nothing.
Then everything at the commissary is $$$ so their friends and family send them money. Hell, it costs money to even get emails back and fourth with them.
And now they loosened child labor laws too!
🤦♂️
And trust me, that’s a wicked bad sign to live under.
They just don’t promote it…dirty little secret
What a fuckwit.
How about just addressing the root of most crime - poverty. Fix that and your huge slave prison vanishes.
The world is turning to shit.
Reject fascism!
Revolution is now!

Prison just extends their sentences to suit itself
Tell your Rep. and Senators this:
1. Call for impeachment. Loudly. Daily.
2. Visit the concentration camps in El Salvador and demand to see your constituents.
Or don’t ask for money…

Like what's he going to say next: "Look these people are fulfilled with work why would they Want to leave? Infact I hear they are asking for More time on their sentence cuz life has never been so good!" 🙃
If it sounds like slavery
I would say that it IS slavery
If this is so great? Keep him. He can report back. In 5 years.
This is what the USA used to do!
Reported and written by an ex mass grave and genocide site investigator.
This is not hyperbole.

A state reliant on slave labour is not self-reliant; it’s a slave economy.
My first thought was, "Why does this half-wit fuckwad sound SO GODDAMNED HAPPY about what his dead eyes are surveying?!?"
Andor: Season 1
Look at a guard funny = add a day.
Late to work = a day docked from your tally.
Raise your voice at anyone = add a week.
Ask to see a Solicitor = add a month.
Get sick = add the cost of your care to your "bill".
Sewing slaves or near naked slaves.
el salvador - not good place to be arrested
In the US? Yeah I can imagine this current admin bringing back debt crimes.
Not sure if it's to the level of Jim Crow. The US set a high bar for just how blatant robbery with a badge can be
