An alternative to that. Does Amazon have healthy and bankable competition? I know that Costco appears to be doing an excellent job of earning its customers loyalty right now. I feel like one of the strong moves we can do right now is shift dollars to where they help and away from where they hurt.

Trader Joe’s seems ethical, but I don’t know much about its current ownership or how widespread it is - I shopped there when I lived in VA & WA state. Wish we had them in the UK. I love COSTCO and they’re delivering more here in the UK

Weirdly, food seems massively cheaper in Marks and Sparks in London, and that’s fancy as shit.
I recently succumbed to Spotify because they have it all, like a library where I can sample all.
Fairtrade, though, persisted and became a success story.
All that Amazon really has going for it is convenience and lazy Americans, a perfect mix.
Best options in my mind are either a Costco & Aldi co-op or we just get off our asses and buy locally as much as we can.
But I also can’t deny that same day shipping is not on Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
