Trump has been super consistent in this regard. He says what he wants to hear, and that might change day to day. Hearing him question that he ever claimed Zelenskye was a dictator made me laugh-bark aloud. This is why he hates digital, hates the press.

Trump uses words to convince, not to convey meaning or truth. So reporting on his words has very little meaning or value. I know this is tough for media outlets, but I do think it's true. We have to report on what's happening, less about his words.

Seems like the press who actually want to report truth and facts should collectively send one person in each day. If they don't want to do that🤷🏼‍♀️, they need to strategically think through their questions, think when/then - they KNOW the reaction, USE that knowledge! Also, why not have video on hand?
