I literally don’t understand this argument. I already *paid* my taxes. They come out of my paycheck every week. I’m just hoping that if I’m entitled to a refund I will actually get it… that’s what’s not looking good if they’re firing half the IRS.

Consider changing your payroll deductions and bank the $ throughout the year, then write them a check before deadline.
