America’s first and greatest general Benedict Arnold let’s not forget George Washington was a failed plantation owner a failed factory owner a failed fucking farmer a terrible general and he had false teeth made from his slaves teeth. Actual history is a bit of a ass slap
Rick Atkinson is truly amazing. I'm sure you have but seriously, his libertion trilogy of WW2 is probbaly the 3 best books I have ever read. I have this on order, should arrive any day.
Me? The Lee Valley catalogue which is *almost* the same thing, right, Kai? In my defense, I have an entire room dedicated to the study of such material.
Literally just saw this book in a stack in my local Chicago Lakeview bookstore last night. A shout out to Unabridged Books https://www.unabridgedbookstore.com/

I just started the first one, and now I also want to read biographies about so many of the major figures. At the same time I'm reading Christopher Clark's book about the 1848-49 revolutions across Europe. Context for current events!

A recent review- Neil King’s American Ramble - was a great book, one of my favorites. RIP Neil
