Raiders not getting sanders or ward so Geno is a bridge more than likely. Seahawks likely already have agreed to terms with they next Qb but have not announced yet
Remember when the Seahawks paid Matt Flynn then drafted Russell Wilson? That was Pete Carroll. I wouldn't bet against the Raiders still going hard for a QB in the draft.
Used to be you’d trade a guy like geno for an open pack of twizzlers and a zima. How the hell did the Seahawks get a 3rd for him? We live in crazy times.
As a Jets fan it’s crazy to see all these Former Jets QBs becoming hot commodities in the league. Shout to the QBs, but the need to Jets get it together.
Are the Raiders going to compete with Geno? If not then save the pick and pick up a free agent QB plus hopefully draft one. This move screams to me that they were worried about being bad this year and Brady/Davis not being committed to a long rebuild.
So much for the Brady and Shedeur connection. All that Davis glad handing and giving props to Shedeur when he was at the Vegas b-ball game meant nothing. Didn't see Geno as a Raider in mix.
How the DK Metcalf situation gets resolved will be the tell. If they were going to deal him, seems like they would do so before the draft, or not at all.
Geno is "aight" (alright), but so wanted Marcus [MM8/#18 Commanders] to reunite with Chip Kelly (Raiders OC). Has Geno ever won a playoff game like m'boy MM8? Right... didn't think so. Ho-hum.
Alright, now I can talk myself into some hope for next season. Now I want to hear all the mock draft picks that Raiders could take to improve the rooster.
He’s 34yo and on the last year of his contract, and it would have been foolish for Seattle to extend him. The only reason not to trade him is if the team thought they’d be serious contenders in 2025, and that was doubtful.
Agreed. This talk about a “bridge “ qb is mystifying. They could have stuck with O’Connell or minshew for that. Get a worse record and a better pick. Smith will be just good enough to get them further back in the draft. Really stupid move.

But I guess it’s some level of stability at QB for the Raiders 🤷🏼♂️
What they do next week in free agency will be the tell. My guess, 2 major line upgrades and a veteran QB.
The last time the Raiders won a playoff game, Geno Smith was 12 years old.
Geno may not be a winner, but that mf is entertaining 💯
Soo how many rings did that win them?
My statement stands 😤
