Trump has dismissed the director of the Office of Government Ethics. David Huitema, the former director, played a key role in vetting Trump administration appointees for conflicts of interest.

Our Declaration of Independence is pretty clear on the next step. This nation was built on the right to rebel against those appointed, whom no longer represent us.
Everyone should read not just the preamble but the list of grievances against King George III, it reads like a list of everything Trump has done in the last few weeks, like they used it as instructions.
Everyone is to scared to step up alone, and I get that. The vast majority are to stretched thin on cash to travel on short notice to be a part of something like this, I know so many want to but just can't do it.
Thats by design also. We are separated but never alone. Id say the ppl I’ve encountered are collectively smarter, more talented, and care more. Stay safe, I hope the judges hold, and I hope we have a safe and fair election in 28. Other than that, I wait.
Those of us who KNOW are AFRAID but the Corporate Media is HIDING the TRUTH from the American people so they don't know! This is the WALL we NEED to find a way to break thru! We need people like Schiff & others in front of ALL of America TELLING them what's going on because the NEWS NEVER WILL!😡
There’s something even more pathetic and awful where I am - indifference. There’s the folks at the gym who just seem not to care. Then I have friends who have told me I’m overreacting. I don’t mean to needlessly alarm anyone or hurt anyone but really????? This is a 5 alarm fire.
I’m seeing this a lot at work too and I work in social services/local government. I’m like, dude, this affects our customers AND YOUR job. I can’t even

American citizens, your right to strike is protected under employment law, but it might not be for much longer. Let's use it while we can.
Print out flyers, distribute them at libraries, coffee shops, university campuses, parks, on telephone poles.

The GOP is complicit. They are responsible for what is transpiring & in-person visits to their office will make this outrage tangible. Arrive with demands, and make them answer on-camera.
"Does it make you feel good knowing my family is in danger because of you?"
@generalstrikeus.bsky.social isn’t about unions fyi… I fear merely protesting, regardless of the numbers is just going to give them a reason to call for martial law. We need to withhold our labor, that’s all they care about.
I think both and. Ya know? We have seen other countries do this before. Numbers in protest need to be visible just as much as strikes. There have been tons of protests in my state and no martial law called at all. The police that are there are really disengaged too. If we have both, can’t ignore it.
Hopefully the different orgs/movements will communicate/centralize for things like this… some activity and actions should be decentralized but not strike/protest (with reasonable/equitable (non-capitalist) demands and stay the course until they are met)
He’s just firing anyone who might embarrass him or put their job and country above party loyalty. This is some epic authoritarianism playing out in real time.
Crazy that Schumer’s stern letter did nothing to prevent this coup 🙄 unsurprising that we are in this mess with such ineffective, weak, spineless Democrat leadership
Since these “firings”
Are illegal, can’t people just keep doing their jobs, at least for a while? And where is law enforcement, protecting these buildings from unauthorized entry?
I can’t see the forest for the trees today. While it would fix things short term were VP Dumpass to have a heart attack, it won’t keep Project 2025 from moving forward. How in the hell are we going to cut the head off Project 2025? Attrition? Courts? I don’t see a path forward. Someone enlighten me
This is just insane. By all rights we should be doing our own January 6th and dragging these people through the streets. But of course Democrats would rather be violently dragged through the streets then appear to be hypocrites.
That has to be the freaking loneliest office in America. I visualize an endless gray corridor, a woman huddled over a yellowed page long forgotten in a lost file.
FDIC is on the list of things to go away but people aren’t talking about it as much because of all the other bs they’re pulling currently. Time to get with a credit union if you aren’t already, like, tomorrow. They aren’t covered by FDIC, they have their own version of it which covers credit unions.
The important thing to realize is that Trump is the second coming of Reagan. That's it. He's the mouthpiece and the figurehead. The GOP, or at least a sizable faction within the GOP, is pulling his strings.
They want this. So no, they're not going to stand up to it.
There's been rumors floating around for years that more moderate GOP members are being blackmailed or otherwise threatened to fall in line, and Mike Davis (of the Article III Project and former chief counsel to Grassley) comes up a lot in discourse around that.
That faction of Republicans NEEDS people to believe Trump is the outsider and the rebel. That's part of the act. The misdirection. The prestige is that Vance is the representative of that controlling faction.
Musk's drama runs parallel to that, but comes from a similar technocratic place.
They’re not just sitting back. Not all of them anyway. Video of the Dems in the Oversight Committee moving a motion to bring Musk in to answer questions about DOGE and Dept of Ed etc and it was immediately tabled by the Republicans, no debate.
Of course he has. It's all about getting rid of anyone that will tell on him. Just like the PPP loans. Democrats had it set up so there was oversight and he did not like that so they got rid of it and what happened to so many PPP loans.
Why does it seem like he cannot be stopped? I know there are court orders and more lawsuits being filed, but the entire republican party is aiding and abetting the killing of the Constitution. We don't have much time left to stop this.
That is what I am wondering. So, keep calling? That isn't doing shit when he isn't even respectful of what the judges tell him. It's just a big fu! I don't know who else is ready, but it is time for REVOLUTION!!!!! Grab your pitchforks and fire. LETS GO!!!!!
He can. Congress could stop
him today. So could the DOJ. They won’t. They want absolute power. And despite their fucking claims of patriotism, they want to ignore the constitution and claim permanent rule. Are they looking ahead? They must see he will disband Congress eventually.
Legitimately no one can call anyone to enforce any laws. DC police are not gonna go against the prez, Capital police are part of the govt. republicans are majority in congress. So although democrats are raising the alarm they can’t enforce it except under the courts until we flip some seats
I'm so incredibly proud of our park Rangers!!! You're so brave, and I'm here for it ❤️ I don't know how else to support besides the spreading the word, but if there's another way, please share.. also please keep track of everything to write a book about your experiences one day.

If you’re US-based, the general advice seems to be to call your representatives (the 5 calls app seems to get good reviews for simplifying that process) and protest if you can.
Republican members of Congress, yoo-hoo, where are you? Why do you allow the president to grab and utilize YOUR constitutional powers? You swore an oath to preserve and protect the Constitution. Now go and do that, right now, or this co-equal branch will disappear into irrelevance by your own hand
Gov has sovereignty. (Not a new thing) This had always translated into the gov allows themselves to be sued if grievances can be proven. How do you think that will work under the new admin? They are not following “rules” or laws.
Crazy… I was just reading the memo he sent out to new federal employees, which would seem to have been targeted DOGE… and wonder how long he was gonna have a job. I’d imagine Don Jr will be the next Director.
let’s see. fire all the inspectors general, plan to gut the foreign corrupt practices act, fire the person responsible for preventing corruption in the government.
Trump just speedran the “conflict of interest” problem by removing the guy who checks for them. Next up: replacing the Office of Government Ethics with a sticky note that says “Don’t Be Evil (Optional).”
There have been enough people removed from the Drumpf admin the we could build an ALT federal govt. Now all we need is our own billionaire to fund it...
The biggest democratic donors were George soros and Bloomberg. Though orange faces donors still blew them out of the water. 5 of them alone donated over 100M to his campaign. Who the hell blows through 500M+$ in roughly 2-4 years?

Make Corruption Great Again!
If anything, I'd say that might be his most dangerous quality.
Clearly they’re all fully onboard with being unethical.
