Across the country, our coalition members are holding candlelight vigils to honor the victims and their families. We’ll end the night with drinks, but right now, prayers come first. If you want to join us, put a candle out on your front porch.

So hear me out.
What about activation events after protests? It would help clear the streets if people had places to go and meet after marching. There could be ‘drink and think’ for those who want casual meet ups. There could be trainings, and activations for those who want to do more. +
There could be bookstores hosting local leaders, coffee shops hosting sip and share events, leaders teaching people how to primary and fight local issues, etc.
Once we are gathered, we should be activating. This will help clear a street after a protest and will capitalize on our desire to help.
Just got out of bed to set up one of our battery candles in our apartment window visible from our parking lot. May they rest in peace. Lady Liberty is sobbing.
I was in Portland, which was huge. But there were also large protests in several of the smaller communities and towns nearby. I hope they get counted, too!
Cheers, everyone! We did this together today and we'll do it again and again and again, until we fix this. "From California to the New York Island, From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream Waters, This land was made for you and me."
Day is leaving us. It has been a day like no other in our Republics’ history.
We must not loose our resolve in defeating Fascism & Trump, it’s morally bankrupt champion. We can not surrender our duty in protecting our freedom’s. We must stand strong on our Constitutional foundation, unshakeable.
Praying for the victims and for our country. The division needs to end. We are stronger united. I have 1 candle of St. Jude and another of St. Michael. Having a glass of Suntory Yamazaki. What a week.
Me & my kids proudly laughed a hearty laugh at the limp, lifeless 'President.' We took note of illegally tinted windowed cars, out-of-state plated vehicles, and not-from-around-here white folk @ grocery store. Bounty hunters have arrived from TX in the PA 'burbs & set off their fireworks.
I'll raise a virtual glass (of water, since it's a vigil) to those who can't attend in person. May the light of the candles guide us towards a brighter future. 🕯️
I've had a single candle in my picture window every night since January 20th. The horrors of this administration will never be forgotten. And my home will always be a welcoming sanctuary for anyone in need.
We send our 💔❤️💔from across the St. Croix. Thank you to the brave folks in Minnesota who welcomed us with open arms…despite an assassin in their midst.
Seeing the turnout despite the shelter in place order and concerns, is incredible. Community is everything in times of tragedy and also in times of rising up. I’ll light a candle in my window.
Thank you, Susan - it made me want to show up even more. And apparently many people felt that way. It was the largest of the 5 protests I’ve participated in. Even though we were told to avoid it for safety reasons. 💙💙💙
Thank you for your courage to stand up for democracy after the tragic events in your community less than 24 hours ago. We all need to unite against the craziness occurring everyday, things normal Americans do not support.
Minnesota born and raised now in Oregon. Participated in our local community event.
This candle has cardamom- a nod to my heritage and Minnesota. We stand together
This is how the moral arc bends Protest is democracy’s pulse; yet only ballots thunder louder.“We’re a republic, not a monarchy.”A thunderclap at polls affirms: power derives from We,not Kings. Civic resolve enshrined in Const. sustains liberty’s arc,by the people, for the people, forever sovereign.
The Tiny Taco Tank “Perade” was an epic failure, added to the long dumpster fire 🔥 list of Drump disasters. I’ve seen bigger attendance at a middle school dance. Meanwhile millions peacefully took to the streets of large & small towns to protest. Dem. Leaders shot & killed. GOP: Find your spine.
Some neighborhoods are safer to do this in than others… don’t need people’s homes getting targeted. And as at least one other person mentioned - please be careful with any open flames.
Don't people realize the president of the United States lied and said there was a civil war in LA and the speaker of the House Mike Johnson said a sitting Governor of the largest state in the country should be tarred and feather; "impeach Trump and his minions are a disgrace"!
Putting a candle on my front porch now. Thank you all for what you do. Today you truly learned you are not alone - and I learned that I am not alone as well. ❤️
Lighting candles on porch for the tragic loss of life in Minnesota. Next we’ll raise a glass to freedom after No Kings. A day a full of emotions.
