I love what you do and spend way too many hours before the election watching endless shows. One suggestion for this new future: focus less on promoting Trump and what he is doing and MORE on how and who will solve it. Focus on the solution not the problem this time. Fuck Trump
WORSE. THIS ONE: PLUTOCRACY
a system of governance where the wealthy have significant control or influence over political decisions, either directly or indirectly. In plutocracy, wealth often equates to power, and the interests of the wealthy tend to be prioritized even at the expense of the rest.
Thank you for this! I had never heard the term before, but I'm doing my best now to spread it around lol Usually on right wing threads- they HATE me lol But I want to plant a seed in their head. The Kakistocracy of the United States! Kakistocracy of America :)
Israel is a model of this right now (along with sliding towards autocracy). Cabinet ministers are appointed for political reasons as it suits Bibi. Finance minister doesn't know finance, interior minister is effectively the equivalent of a klansman.
Historical parallels don't really come close to the kind of morally bankrupt malice Trumpism uniquely threatens. It lacks moral cohesion, rewards only transactional loyalty, and rids itself of people with any shred of integrity.
Its glaring weakness will help good people strategically destroy it.
So Felon Trump is a kakistocrat? Oh, and I’ll be referring to him as either Felon Trump or President Felon. I kind of like melon felon, but don’t want to stoop to name-calling.
Thank you. I needed a word. And now what do we call the leaders of a kak… man I need to learn how to spell it. Do we have oligarchs or what. I just need the lexicon.
So many words apply - autocracy, kleptocracy, oligarchy. But for the non-elite Americans who made this choice, perhaps dictator is easiest to understand.
The word "kakistocracy" comes from the Greek words kakistos (κάκιστος), meaning "worst", and kratos (κράτος), meaning "rule".
The earliest known use of the word was in the 1600s by Paul Gosnold, a loyalist to King Charles I during the English Civil War.
Think Afghanistan. People are already calling for women to be deprived of the vote. How long before US starts imposing a dress code and silencing voices....
News for you. That was covered in “Trump and the Demise of Democracy “ written back in 2016. Get a copy on Amazon. It’s at the back along with other bad forms of government. Good read for these times.
Actually, reading about some of his picks for important positions in Government I believe the US needs a whole new name for this style of "Governining"...Qtocracy seems to fit!
The Snollygoster returns to the White House, a place he NEVER belonged with a Title he is/was/always will be unworthy of. Shame. And this time he brings a whole Entourage of Circus Sideshow Freaks with him. Batton the hatches, the Great American Implosion begins.
Trump established that his cabinet members' loyalty factor is much more important than their qualifications even in his first term. In his second term, he will govern as a dictator - he already asked gop senators to bypass the confirmation process for cabinet members.
Living under a kakistocracy, where the least qualified and most corrupt govern, is perilous because it often results in disastrous policies, rampant injustice, and societal decay. Such governance erodes trust in public institutions and threatens the well-being and rights of all citizens.
Just used it myself. Not for the first time, but most definitely will be using it a hell of a lot more. Apparatchik is another term we might as well get familiar with.
I’m still going to live my life the way I always have. I care about the Earth so I will recycle. I care about bees so I will plant the flowers they enjoy. I will teach my students real US history. I will treat people with kindness.

"Kakistocracy" will be synonymous in our America history books ...

Noun
edit
kaka (genitive kaka, partitive kakat)
(somewhat childish) poo
Which refers to governments led by the least qualified or most incompetent citizens.
I prefer meritocracy.
Affirmative action is bad cuz America is a meritocracy.
Also, you can be SecDef if you look good on TV and have no management or national security experience.
Got it.
The earliest known use of the word was in the 1600s by Paul Gosnold, a loyalist to King Charles I during the English Civil War.
We should have been investing a lot more into public education and made the cost of high education affordable!
In French as well, Kak - Caca
Perfection.
So yes - sums up your incoming government perfectly America!
Wish we could lock the hatch so the Ku-Klux-Klowns can't ever come out!
Wiki still needs updating
