What’s up with this platform? Are people going to be using it? It seems kinda dead already, but with Mets spring training approaching, I’m trying to figure out how active to be here.

You just have to share interesting information. If you're into sports, that's very cool. You can also enact a Sports feed to see just sport related posts.
At Xitter, they keep the left and right from seeing each other's posts. Here you see all.
What's "dead" to you? I could scroll the Discover tab for hours and never run out of stuff to read. I have to pry myself off to make myself productive again.
they literally yelled at the @mets.com yesterday for posting a video about the women who work for the mets... on national girls and women's sports day!!! they called acknowledging women woke. like.... why is anyone still there!!!
I find this platform to be a little less stress-inducing than the other, though I still find myself dropping in over there because there's more sports content of interest. This place is starting to catch up a little, though.
Something to think about: click rates seem to be much higher on Bluesky for journalists, so while you might get more raw engagement on a tweet your more likely to get better overall engagement over here
My understanding is that BSky doesn’t crush links the way that Twitter is now designed to, so in theory it’s better for journalists *if* the audience gets suitably large (and hopefully we keep growing!)
We are waiting for more of you guys to come here and actually pay attention to us. Can’t wait for the start of the season!! Hope you start posting over here more
Be sure to customize your FEEDS so you get the posts you want about what you want. Curate your FOLLOWING tab closely. And then DISCOVER can be a free for all sometimes. Block and mute early and often. It keeps your feed a lot cleaner that way. Have fun!
Show up some place new and do the work. Some astute observers might even say to themselves “wow here’s a niche I can fill before the next guy shows up asking for content” Bluesky is exactly one year old today. Don’t take it personally take it as. Person challenge.
I follow everyone who’s on BlueSky here, and still go Twitter for the non converts. This platform is better user experience, but too many of my follows, including Mets related are not here
There are still many of us here, Tim. 😊 I think being on more platforms helps to expand the reach of your content, but I understand how busy you guys on the beat are
Imagine Twitter for the first year or two when it started up. This is what it was like.
Hope you continue to post here.
I enjoyed following you on Twitter.
It feels like Mets fans have been early adopters of this platform the way Phillies fans were early to Threads, and we're still 2 months away from the season starting.
1/ The best way to get to focused content here is through Feeds. These are created and shared by tech savvy users. A Knicks feed has been up for a while, and there are finally Mets feeds available.
From your home screen, click the Hash Tag in the upper right corner.
We've been waiting for you, Tim...just like we're waiting for the others like Howie Rose, Keith Raad, Keith Hernandez, and Mets Radio Booth. Hopefully they join Bluesky during spring training.
Would make the point that the big migration away from the other site took place after baseball season. Other sports - esp. the NBA - are really, really active here.
I'm trying to use it exclusively, but not everyone is here. There was nothing in my feed about the Pete Alonso signing last night; I had to look in Twitter to find it.
I think it’s still very early & this platform is only going to gain momentum. In regard to baseball, my guess is things will pick up as the season gets rolling. I think we’re all hibernating, atm. I wish the Mets would officially set up shop on here.
Mets Sky is a sleeping giant. The beat writers have not been supporting it enough other than @lalbanese.bsky.social and @jonheyman.bsky.social. If you are active then it will fuel more engagement
Appreciate you being active here Tim. Thank you. We're working on building a #MetsSky community here and your posts are very helpful in adding to the content. Now if you can convince some of your colleagues to join you here, it can only improve things. Thanks again.
I agree. Have contacted them but not sure I used right email address. There's a reply promised from their autoresponder. Hopefully that'll open a door for me. Have also written to @snytv.bsky.social & other content providers. It's been frustrating but I'll keep trying. Hope ALL #Mets fans also try.
I would like to have you here. I hope it wouldn’t take much time for you to post the same items here as on X. I think you’ll find that those here engage more, and in a more cordial manner.
I think the Mets spring training isn't top of the list as far as discussion inducing post.
Try "The end of democracy is approaching this spring" and you'll probably get a much better response.
I hope they win a lot of games though.
It most certainly is active, but it’s hard to compare engagement on one platform during the depths of the offseason to engagement on a different platform during an incredibly exciting regular and postseason (for the Mets anyway)
For baseball, I have not noticed a drop since coming from Stormfront but it really depends on who you follow. Most reporters besides Rosenthal and Passan are here but there are bots that share their details. I don’t feel I’ve missed anything critical. Would recommend looking for starter packs/feeds
A lot of the deadness IMO is from news folks/reporter folks not moving over. There's been success here elsewhere in sports (like Mina Kimes and the football sphere) but I feel like baseball sphere hasn't had that moment/leader
Problem is not the same type of people are over here, like SNY, Mets don’t really post over here, so it’s hard to engage fully. I feel like if more of the big accounts posted it would be better. The fan interaction is more peaceful over here and less ads/scams it feels like. Would love more content
If the @mets.com posted here more often more fans would be here but the official account rarely posts (and didn't post anything while Amazin' Day was taking place while it was posted non-stop on the bad site.) Gelbs and the "Meet at the Apple" guys aren't posting here either.
You are my Obi Wan when it comes to Mets content in this platform. I can’t stand that other cesspool and all I want to see is the start or spring training with pitchers throwing on the back mound. Help me Tim Healer, you’re my only hope.
It’s been fairly active but maybe you’re not seeing it due to the engagement algos? My feed has been mostly Alonso relates today (yay!!) so maybe if you engage with it the algo will send you more?
Incidentally, yes the machines are most definitely rising!
Yeah following is a little easier since you see only people you want to see, the other feeds are just people who might be invited to that particular group. It takes time to get used to but at least no adds and no random people showing out don’t want to hear from 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

This Mets season can’t start soon enough 🔸🔹 #LGM #LFGM
Very worthwhile to be here
Hope you continue to post here.
I enjoyed following you on Twitter.
I made a starter pack when we first moved over but there's so many more! @metschief.bsky.social has some good ones as well
From your home screen, click the Hash Tag in the upper right corner.
When you see one you want, hit + to add it to your feeds. I found 5 and added them all (including our #MetsSky. I'll probably filter then down later.
#LFGM !!
it's better than the hellhole.
I'll take the 'kinda dead' over that.
