If you are going to be updating the search filter I'd STRONGLY recommend adding in "romantic" and "scary" (or something similar to scary) - romance and & horror are huge reading genres but none of the mood descriptors really hit the targets.
And for us nonfiction buffs, I wish they'd add a "film" or "cinema" category. I end up having to categorize a huge percentage of my library as "art," which doesn't feel accurate at all.
It will not only stay optional, it will stay opt-in.
It's self-hosted, so your data isn't going anywhere (not ChatGPT or any external service), and opt-in so you'll only see it if you explicitly choose to.

In app, there's a link to contact us that then has a link to check the Storygraph Road map to see if your suggestions are already on there. I really enjoy being a pro member because we get to upvote features to get them prioritized. Regardless of pro status, Storygraph really listens to feedback.
The Personalized Preview used to only give positive recs. I wasn't comfortable letting an AI say that you *wouldn't* like something.

Love the work you guys are doing!! Awesome site (especially love the personalized monthly reading calendar, for someone who loves to track all of the things, this is AMAZING).
