Saturday morning in the early 90s was all "Let's make a show with the silliest, stupidest premise of all time and give it a theme song that hits like a motherfucker." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgizT7q3ek0

One of the few I can remember that actually had a different intro for the second season, and it's honestly just as cool if not moreseo. The animation is pretty fantastic, as well.
The 90's had a ton of TMNT imitators trying to catch that hype.
But it really started in the 80's. Shows that would run for five years and 130+ episodes based almost entirely on the strength of their opening credits.
They did a lot of these. It was the best time for side scrollers. I’ve never played this one, but since it seems to follow the same formula as the tie ins for Bucky O’Hare, The Simpsons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the much missed and highly memetic X-Men Arcade, I instantly believe you.
Not gonna lie, I do miss the era when popular movies got a Saturday morning cartoon series, more so when it was an adult film that got nerfed for kids. Not saying they were good, just miss when it was a thing because it was so bizarre.
Not knowing the show but the era it's from, I was expecting the sound of synthesisers and drum machines when I clicked the link. It's refreshing to hear that it's all guitars and harmonica. It sounds like there might even be a pedal steel guitar in there too, or a convincing soundalike.
