This cat is my role model. Cute. Scrungly. Radiant with joy and unburdened by thoughts of any kind. From A Name for Kitty - written by Phyllis McGinley and illustrated by Feodor Rojankovsky.

I know that name! When I was a little kid in the late eighties one of my favourite books was a Golden Book called The Little Lost Kitten, by Nina Rojankovsky. I bought my son a copy, it's out of print and I had to search but I needed to share it with him, the illustrations live forever in my head.
Guess who was responsible for those illustrations? If you can get a copy of the book I strongly recommend it, the kitten's expressions are priceless and it really is a cute story.
Reminds me of my late and dearly loved friend Stanley. He wandered like a six toed cloud, trusted strangers, was loved
by the neighbours, and seldom a thought in his fuzzy head.
Hey, a friend of mine is trying to crowdfund an amputation for his kitty with bone cancer, I know you've signal boosted things like this before and I thought it would be a nice thing for me to do for him.
Maybe also take a look at "Look at the Kittens" by Georgy Karlov and Vladimir Matveev from 1965, or cat illustrations by Alisa Poret if you haven't yet :D I have a new edition of her 1972 cat book, I can DM you the photos 😄
