As a runner, the mind plays tricks all the time.
But occasionally you have to listen, rest and recover - pick it up slowly when it's time.
When you are under the weather, your body needs the energy to recover, so you take a break.
Running is not a job, it is a hobby.

You risk damaging your fitness training with a bug.
Nobody gets fitter training when ill.
