this stuff is happening across the country and even more intensively downstream of the veterans admin but it's happening in so many places at once and without any public notification that it's still only barely emerging in the news

some people just have a deathwish
too bad they're in my party
The only hope is that enough Pitzkers and AOCs will lap them with the crowds that they begin to fear for their own political lives.
But I worry the only thing they've ever done is punch left.
Can the somnambulant establishment learn a new trick?
And two, journalism probably should be publicly funded as a public good and not run as a traditional business
We've got to look to funding models like the AP and ProPublica who manage to do their jobs without succumbing to corporate pressure and hiding behind paywalls.
Non-profits like ProPublica could easily revitalize the fourth estate, but no one wants to do anything for the right reasons anymore.
But not teachers, admins, and others IN the schools, they're saints.

But I'll point out the over-consolidation of **everything** in America, leading to all news coming out of New York, produced by -- of course -- America's inbred elite, all of whom are legacy admits to the same six schools.
one good thing (?) out of this might be a strengthening of localism
Check out its site. If you like the stories, subscribe. Buy a membership. Go to the events. Contribute
GUARANTEE you the local editors would love the help
It’s all hands on deck time here folks
Owners were NOT interested in innovating to preserve coverage, because that would have require investment.
Instead: cut-cut-cut, sell off real-estate, plunder pension funds, fold.
I think this era should encourage more vibrant localism of all kind
If you live more than 60 miles from an urban area, it's now nearly impossible to access local TV without paying for it. Bye, local news.
