It is pretty f-ed up that folks who have submitted grants to these study sections have not been formally notified. If I wasn’t on this app, I’d have no idea. My era commons has not been updated to indicate the meeting was cancelled. Figuring PIs that are less online may not realize what is happening

Yes, my SRO sent a f/u note indicating that he was required to send the first canned note. The 2nd note was apologetic and humane. A huge proportion of the study panel then responded to the group thread to thank, encourage, and reassure him. <3

You can find the study section on the CSR website and see if it has an asterisk next to it. Mine was also supposed to be reviewed today, and yesterday announced it was cancelled. https://www.csr.nih.gov/RevPanelsAndDates/RevDates.aspx

I suspect the same thing is true for the communication to the reviewers BEFORE the meeting gets postponed: "For the Federal Register question, we are at this time good to go and our meeting will proceed on March 20-21. If anything changes, I will let the panel members know as soon as I know."

depends on what time frame you mean. In initial NIH “communications pause,” the Register didn’t matter. Then after a court injunction, some mtgs came back. Now cancellations this week are about the Register - few study section mtgs are on there going forward. But a trickle on Register are happening
