y'all should also pay attention to where these open—while barnes & noble can fill in the gaps where indie bookstores are not, and we need them in those areas, more than a few open in competition with indies. those indies (who do more to support new & marginalized voices than b&n) will need support.

If B&N is opening up so many new stores, I wonder if we’ll see a shift in their buying tactics that have negatively impacted any author that isn’t “proven” aka anyone who isn’t a NYT bestselling darling w/ massive pub support, or are marginalized creators.
