DEI now FAF
Republicans will be replacing any mention of DEI in any government document's, websites with FAF.

They are interchangeable depending on the person.
It’s like what Ta-Nehisi Coates pointed out in 2016. For Obama to win as a black man, he had to be essentially perfect. Well spoken, charming, non threatening, thoughtful, no scandals and a perfect family.
It was cringeworthy to hear Hegseth make statements outside the pentagon this morning.
He sounded young and dumb, like a naive, inept high schooler, given a CEO job by Grandpa, while his mother had to drive him to work.
He doesn’t sound like a man with an education compared to Austin or others
If he would have just worn a suit lined with the flag and stumbled in drunk screatching about the incompetence of women and trans folk he would not have needed all those credentials. (Sarcasm intentional)
Hey Dem Sen's and Rep's, with all the crap that the GOP side is pulling why are you not doing ANYTHING? LETTING this happen while you send out scary emails DEMANDING money to fight makes you no better than them. How about this, do your job, then we'll decide if your efforts need to be rewarded.
Maybe one day we’ll always have leaders who do the right thing instead of the white thing. If helps anyone different from them, this admin is destroying progress anywhere it finds it.
Trump is the Secretary of Defence and the Attorney General and the Secretary of Health and every cabinet pick because they're all election denying sycophants who do not dare disagree with him.. Look at J D Vance who said only non violent J6 prisoners should be released.. very quiet now.
DEI exists to promote acceptance and understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. It's to make people aware of those outside their own bubble. Too many people fear what they don't understand...DEI is there to help everyone understand, so they aren't so quick to judge/offend/discriminate.
Fun fact: when DEI isn't just virtue signaling in lieu of dealing with systemic issues, it's mostly to give minorities who are just as, or MORE, qualified than white guys like me a chance to even the playing field that is heavily tilted against them.
Look, man, I an a white guy, and I get why DEI exists. Because, other less ethical white guys keep giving all the good stuff to their white buddy instead of a more qualified POC or woman.
DEI training was started by big employers, companies, government, after they lost millions in court in case after court case for discriminatory practices. Big employers with deep pockets forget, they will discriminate again, they will be sued again, this time for billions, history repeats.
All I have to say is our potus was elected for his merits, which were, checks notes, concepts of plans over a well-educated, well-spoken, and with clear directives, non white woman. Right now it's a toss up if the next four years are gonna be as bad as we predicted or worse
That is why white guys hate dei, they have to actually put some effort into getting a job or roll, there is no such thing as "merit" when it comes to hiring, things like micro biases have more of an influence on hiring desicions than anything
I mean same applies when you look at Barack Obama compared to Donald Trump. Donald Trump can literally get 32 felony convictions and not spend a single day in jail and can also still be president. Meanwhile, people were saying Obama was unfit to be president for wearing a tan suit.
So far Trump is demonstrating that he can find people who are either qualified for the job, or unfailingly loyal to Trump, but not both at the same time. So his answer is DEI for rich FoxTV hosts.
Mark my words: Hegseth will get drunk as fuck on the power of being in charge of the American army, and he will do something so insanely stupid and short sighted that it'll make everyone speechless.
And as a QUALIFIED white dude that was born poor, we are also negatively impacted when these white nepo-babies always get the job over us. DEI helps everyone, except nepo-babies. Anyone that opposes DEI is probably a nepo-baby.
While serving in Iraq, Hegseth was traveling in a vehicle struck by a rocket-propelled grenade that did not explode.[22][23] During his time in Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal[22] and a second Army Commendation Medal.
Bet he shit his drawers when that happened.
The utterly stupid thing about removing DEI programs is that it does not guarantee excellence in a given position, it guarantees White in that position. Probably often with a hood and monthly meetings around a burning cross or defunct flag if a long dead traitorous “state”. Just sayin’
I never get this. What happened to the GOP that they don't honor excellence. It's like orange blob of disparity is running a circus yelling, "Send in the clowns!". I think I'm going to start writing litters to people in the GOP asking them to pull their head out.
It's about using language as a tool to exercise power. If you can define "meritocracy" to match your agenda, then anyone who's a woman, POC, etc, automatically becomes a DEI hire, and therefore unqualified for the job.
Please use "DEIA". The A stands for accessibility which was also terminated. Not adding the A makes those with special needs even more invisible and vulnerable. Thx.
So so true. As a woman it tech, have had a front row seat… Watching the “tech bros” spend most of the work day at the gym, on social media, hanging out in cigar bars and strip clubs with seniors leaders. This is reason there aren’t more women in tech, toxic culture not lack of capability.
Not even full-time army he was army reserves. And he's like a mid-rank officer that he achieved I'm pretty sure because Trump forced them to give it to him. He came back to the reserves during the Trump presidency and they promoted him.
It'll all end in a big mess, and the finger of distraction will be working overtime pointing at everyone else to blame except for that one orange turd who will be to blame...
Sorry George but there's no room in my meritocracy for judgements based on the color of one's skin, the plumbing between their legs, or the sex of their partner. It shouldn't be about correcting a mistake with yet another mistake. It's about finding the right -qualified- human for that specific job.
As a HR data analyst who has done much work with analytics for DEI initiatives, I can say you nailed it George. DEI is about leveling the playing field that has historically overlooked the merits of POC, women, LBGT, etc. workers while benefiting straight white men.
DEI can teach us all something. It's worth it. But, it can also be misused and put above merit. I think that's an adult discussion, but I don't expect any of that from the new crew in DC.
I’m at a lose for words at the incompetence of this administration! I knew it was going to be bad but damn! Just proves all you need to be successful is skin color and willingness to kiss the right ass
I think this is the wrong way to frame it. Corporations should understand that DEI makes teams stronger. More POVs mean more ideas which means better solutions.
Meritocracy can only exist if everyone starts with the same resources and connections. Impossible. Are conservatives ready to have a 100% estate tax? Free education for all? No trust funds? No generational wealth advantage? No nepotism? Doubt it.
A DEI company gave us a sword-missile that can kill a terrorist in his living room through a second story window and leave everything else around him unharmed.
When we get results like that, yes, I'm in full support of DEI to encourage new ways of thinking and approaching tasks.
Worry not. Who's in charge of the US military won't mean victory in war. The US military hasn't won a major war decisively since 1945.
Korea, draw
Vietnam, defeat
Iraq, defeat
Afghanistan, defeat
Seriously though, skills and knowledge have been gatekeep by, predominantly white, men for centuries! So of course they think only white men are qualified for any and all jobs 🙄
"Well, he shows up to work drunk, he cheated on his wife, but if that's all, I really don't think he's suitable. Did he at least molest children or commit massive fraud... OH! I see he's a white supremacist! Okay, then! He's a keeper!"
Any white person who is qualified and willing to work, as well as continue to learn, isn’t threatened by DEI policies. The people who get angry about it are only upset because they finally have to meet the same standards everyone else has been held by for decades.
There's a misconception DEI is positive descrimination. Nope it's the conscious removal of systemic and other types of discrimination against certain traits. If someone sees positive discrimination, like hiring a someone who went to their school over others who didn't, it's positive discrimination.
POTUS himself isn't qualified so why start with those that are? Lol. His entire cabinetry are mere puppets. Do we REALLY think tRump himself is thinking of alllll these executive orders? Or simply just signing what people toss in front of him and running like it was his idea..
I prefer to hire ppl with experience I don’t have. Why would I hire someone with my identical expertise (unless I’m too busy to be active guidance often) or less?
When ppl under me tell me things I don’t know, it makes me proud. Proud of them, and proud of ME for being good at hiring ❤️
Honestly if you are a good mgr you realize that building a strong team is a flex. Ppl see your high functioning team and it reflects well on you, even if you don’t deserve it.
I totally get why they are anti-DEI. Things should be equal, fair and balanced. Sadly the whiners are also the reason that DEI had to exist to begin with. I have been around victomhood with people my whole life. They are the same people praying to God for change and not doing it themselves.
In fairness Pete didn't have to "just be in the Army". He also had to have his face firmly attached to Frump’s ass. (And yes - the F was intentional there.)
You know the so-called Moral Majority (aka white men) is no longer a majority (or ever moral). We need to figure out how to get more people to the polls.
Well Trump certainly wouldn't want someone who is overqualified in that position. He might be loyal to the Constitution and not Trump. Better to have someone unqualified and willing to go along with what Trump wants
So it’s not DEI if you’re an under qualified loyalist or a family member, but it’s DEI if you’re a minority and you get a job even if you’re actually qualified? Got it.
Don’t forget Crazy White Boy also has to be a Supremacist and a Sexual Predator… Also, also he has to have a drinking problem and be a Fake Fox News Bruh.
DEI hires only affect straight white rich men. Means they can't hire their golfing buddy to do a job they're not qualified for! Problem sorted now I guess.
DEI is meant to ensure that meritocracies don't ignore the most qualified individuals solely because of a protected class. It's not an excuse to appoint or promote unqualified people, like what we see with "reverse-DEI."
DEI specifically exists to increase the talent pool, including once overlooked populaces for qualified candidates. And, with a larger talent pool, quality of talent inevitably goes up. DEI in reality does the opposite of what its critics claim. But at the expense of mediocre white dudes.
Isn’t there also something about not wearing the flag on clothing because it’s disrespectful? Somewhere on the list of flag etiquette. Granted, that’s small potatoes when he’s also a drunk and an abuser.

Am I the only one feeling the same feeling I had back in the 60s/70s? Vietnam was more than the atrocities of war, have we forgotten the lesson so quickly? Morality, the rule of law, domestic and international gone. Why should we suffer the consequences of power seekers?
Apparently the right blazer lining can carry you a long way these days. Give ♥️ and business to those that support equity and justice. Give the others the 🧿.

Anti-DEI idiots forgot about it.
Paulo RJ @hospiciobrasil.bsky.social. I think you can expand better than me. Hugs from Brazil.
Trump, just had to be white.
He's orange...

Hence why mediocre people hate it...
Otherwise Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris would’ve both been presidents and not rapists, traitors, and unqualified criminals.

When doing so they’ll hire in their own demographic, boosting chances of loyalty.
Ridiculous

Every racist in history thought she was totally righteous. You're no exception.
Perhaps we could try simply outlawing racism, and stop looking for revenge for crimes that we didn't even suffer from in the first place.
How dare you *clutches pearls
That's what veterans preference is all about.
DEI
With respect to IT, diversity brings varied viewpoints and experiences to a team. This ALWAYS improves any design or solution.
Tossing Diversity Equity & Inclusion efforts is simply shooting ourselves in the... foot.
