The detailed research, the number of ppl who knew it wasn't legal & opportunities to stop it if there wasn't such a fear of not pleasing higher ups. Very detailed, factual, not just sensationalised rhetoric. Have you read it & if so, what stood out for you?
I haven't read it, because I'm angry enough about robodebt and the state of the world without reminders. I do remember listening to the 7am podcast where Rick making out that Bill Shorten was some kind of saint for what he did. I can't agree with that. Given what Shorten has done with the NDIS... ✅
I hear you! I had the book here for a while before I could bring myself to start reading, after sitting through the hearings & then the angst when there seem to be no consequences.
I can't BELIEVE that Brereton didn't step down, the very MINUTE that Furness released her report into how he handled his conflict of interest.
To say he was merely sloppy would be too kind. He, of ALL people, should have known what constitutes true recusal.
Can't wait. This seeming toothless tiger needs some serious scrutiny. Of all the ALP disappointments of the last 2 years, the hamstringing of the NACC is the worst. Nice one Rick 👍
