I was planning to go home today and come back next week for surgery but my neurosurgeon was like well it’s approved inpatient but we would have to get it reapproved outpatient and it’s between Christmas and New Years so it could get delayed stay in and get it done. He’s right but that’s also dumb?
I’m in a shared room with weirdly two tvs right next to each other and the other lady who also poops her pants always has her TV on and I’m not going to compete for TV sound? But I’ve been reading and playing on my phone and staring into the middle distance
Middle distance staring can’t be overused in this kind of situation. Counting ceiling tiles, outlining them or connecting the dots in my head with my “mind finger,” finding shapes/pictures in the dots - all solid gold activities. How long will you be in-patient?
This seems massively unfair. Can your oncologist tell the cancer that there is simply no room for more? Glad they are getting your surgery quickly and making sure you are covered. Sending love 💛
I am so sorry to hear this. My sister was diagnosed with LMD (secondary to triple negative breast cancer which along with lung and melanoma are the most common for LMD) a year and a half ago…do NOT Google. Those stats are old.
I know it is not always helpful to hear other people’s stories but my sister and I were just clearing out our deceased mother’s house today…my sister was diagnosed with LMD May ‘23…she is here and herself.
