A lot of delusion happening in that Schumer NYT interview, but this gets to the heart of it: he believes his Republican colleagues will come around and everything will be ok. Absolutely delusional.

Schumer isn't aware that he's a therapist on a bike talking to the schizophrenic personality that his colleague's other personality is happily murdering but having a hard time dealing with internally...
But Schumer doesnβt respond to the board flipping.
Heβs waiting for the GOP to right the board and sit back down to play.

They literally believe their own echo chamber of bullshit and have the luxury of not mingling with the masses unless there's a protest.
We need to take away their luxury of ambivalence and denial. Their cozy little world.
