I'm often out w/ my dog in the wee hours of the morning--this phrase serving two, equally accurate meanings. I grab my binoculars & we spend some of that 3 to 4 AM time taking in the magnificence. I only recently became acquainted w/ the Beehive, thanks to the binocs & Sky Guide app. Breathtaking.

I've read that there is going to be a major alignment of the planets in 2025, no wonder the 'Nostrodamus & Baba Venga' tribe are predicting doom and gloom. You got the same shot of the moon as my daughter with her iPhone 15, half covered but still mysteriously beautiful.

I find it interesting, that as a child, I was taught that heaven was in the nebula in Orion's belt.

I remember trembling in fear trying to figure out if it was getting closer.

God was not a good guy, but a dogmatic punisher of evil. I had been convinced, as a young child, that I was evil.

I am looking too--but in the meantime have discovered much using just my binoculars--Nikon Monarch M5s. I have been stunned at how much of what is invisible to the unaided eye becomes visible through them.
