While I think that's true I also think we need a new set of leaders to emerge and this is as good an opportunity as any to elevate the voices which are being direct and oppositional.

Delaying it will just make it happen later. It's inevitable.

Really started with the lame response when DOGE began illegally taking over & shuttering agencies; continued with rubber stamping of cabinet; now the CR where it is less about the decision than lack of strategy or planning in getting there

I feel like we can't mount any kind of effective opposition as long as our leadership doesn't want to and won't ever do it. We've got to win this internal battle in order to take on the external ones. Saying otherwise strikes me as saying Lincoln shouldn't have replaced McClellan mid-war.

Why are we pretending the democrats represent us on the federal level?

I've heard encouraging things in state assemblies, but the house has far less power in a minority and the senate has shown a discouraging amount of bipartisan support.
