Yes.
The predecesor of my current Kebab shop used to do that to me. I'd check back once a year or so, tops, just because the second-nearest one was a full hour's drive away.
I go not-infrequently to read because they're within walking distance, are well lit, and have really good bloody marys. Yesterday we got hungry and got a pita spread. Huge mistake.
Please report to the health department, that could kill someone who is older or compromised. Also, I became violently ill at a restaurant once. When the health department inspected, they found the refrigerator was turning off and on, but the owners had no idea! You could be helping them.
Yeah, you might wanna turn them into the health department if that’s a continuing issue. I worked in professional kitchens for 17 years… Food safety is of utmost importance.
Dave & Buster's gave my father food poisoning but not me. Can't afford to go right now, but will absolutely return. Food is good, and my father received karma for *gestures at entire childhood*
i get food poisoning regularly now and it’s made me scared to eat out. i think some combo of post-covid body-fuckery and that food is too expensive for these restaurants to throw out even if it’s old but like, damn. i never, ever used to get food poisoning is this happening to you all too???
Our local has an amazing in store bakery and good coffee. If you enjoy cheese bacon wraps or croissants, lunch breaks are a treat. Eventually the roast beef sandwich or the chicken nuggets start to look good. 1 out of 10 will purge your system.
The previous Chef at my housing facility was named Sheila. The residents used to call it the “Sheila Flu”.
I’m now the Chef. No one gets sick anymore from eating a meal.
They should set up a franchise here in LA, it would do well. So many people doing 5 day juice cleanses. Why do in 5 days what you could do in one meal?
There was a buffet near my house that used to give me diarrhea. When a friend inspected the owner’s house, they found room upon room full of cages of thousands of Guinea pigs. They weren’t kept as pets. I believe I have eaten Guinea pig without knowing. Gah.
I just got food poisoning from leftover salad from a local Hawaiian restaurant. Not sure if it's worth making a fuss over or not since the food was sitting in my fridge a few days anyway
At this point it’s less a restaurant and more a trust exercise with your digestive system. Maybe it's time for a breakup... or at least a loyalty card.
Thankfully our new administration realizes those health rules violate the free market. People should just choose whether to risk completely clearing out their GI system or not without pesky rules about washing hands!
One of those things that people don't know but maybe more should, but incidents of food poisoning can occasionally lead to you developing crohn's disease or colitis. You aren't just rolling one dice and risking maybe being sick for a few days, but you're actually rolling one much bigger scarier dice
Lmao sorry but this is all too familiar! There is a place here called Dos Tacos & I call it Dos Diarrheas cuz ur gonna have it twice 😂😂 hope you're feeling ok
When i was a young lass my roomate and I would go to Taco bell, it was close by and we enjoyed the taste.
Ever single time afterwards- diarrhea, both of us.
If you are ever constipated go to Tacobell or eat sugar free candy.
I usually just go there to get a bloody mary and read, because their bloody marys are the best within walking distance. Yesterday my wife joined me and we were feeling peckish. Surely a pita spread can't hurt, we reasoned. Wrong!
To funny me and friends used to frequent this oriental restaurant between the times when it wasn’t closed by the board of health till the last time when a family of raccoons fell through the ceiling on a table…. Yeah permanently closed now. Best food ever!!! ;)
Oh wait just remembered my dad got a chunk of steel wool at the bottom of his Friendlys Sunday and foolish me got amazing dual way evac from a food poisoning burger at another Friendlys years after
My husband and I got food from a very small Chinese restaurant once. I had steel wool in my food and it immediately made me lose my appetite and I didn’t eat. My husband shrugged it off and ate all his food. He had the worst food poisoning that night and the next day. Steel wool is a warning 😅😂
It’s all very well having diarrhoea at home, but nothing beats going for a few drinks with friends, have someone fuss over you and as for the cleaning up … I haven’t thought that through have I?
We lived near an Indian take-away that was extremely good, but INVARIABLY gave us botty issues. It was called Cinnamon. We wondered if it was a Nina Simone reference.
Keep going. The odds are still in your favor on any given day, and it would just say a lot about your character if you committed. Just go for it, man. Just be a legend of diarrhea.

on you, fool me twice ,..
And I deserve to sit on the toilet howling all night!
Stop eating there.
Sorry.
"Diarrhea cafe?"
"But that quiche!"
"It put your grandmother in the hospital and had you begging God for mercy on the john."
"It was a good quiche!"
"I suppose it was... Diarrhea cafe it is!"
You’re feeling better!
Or the food must be amazing
I now include this info in our safety meetings.
I’m now the Chef. No one gets sick anymore from eating a meal.

I'm kinda of a food poison me once.... type of guy.
If not, it's not food poisoning

There’s a taqueria that has laid me up 3x over the years but I keep going back because the carnitas is so very very crispy and tasty.
If a dog bites you twice, it's your fault.

Poison me twice... you don't fucking poison me again!!
