Perhaps your opinion on what would increase Democrats' popularity are correct. There's no way to really know though, but I do know what would make them more popular and that would be for everyone on the left side of the aisle to stop bashing them.

When Dems undermine the united effort to stop Musk/Trump, as Fetterman did, it is useful to let them know that they screwed up. There is a reason that parties have officers called "whips".
The Dems’ 2024 message was that Trump was an existential threat to our democracy. Yet they were caught off-guard when he implemented their warnings. Accountability requires criticism.
Dems are showing signs of getting their act together & public opinion will swing toward them soon.
