One thing that really helped me with winter beauty: fractals. Now the trees are not dormant, dead things. They are fractal art forms, branching in beautiful mathematics.

I would like to have a natural philosophy discussion about winter.

I adore the other cultures' creation of and attention to micro seasons.

But I don't see the same distinction in my LOOONG November to April winter.

Does deep winter have distinctive micro seasons? What factors might be considered?
