"The violence against Brian Thompson is nothing to be condoned. It was a horrible crime. But it’s important to point out that violent crime is perpetrated by these companies in an anonymous way every single day."

I know someone that is trying to get their insurance to pay for treatment for ovarian cancer. She is hoping to hear something this year because she won’t be able to afford it if here deductibles restart in January
So which prosecutors, law enforcement officials, courts, legislators, state/federal insurance regulators and contingency fee personal injury lawyers are ignoring all these deaths ????
and why?????
Yeah, but he made law enforcement look bad because they did a shit job finding him. So they have to take it out on someone. You can't blame yourself in America
A shit job? They literally found him. Law enforcement looked bad because they moved heaven and earth and spent god knows how much public money to find this hero when they wouldn't do the same for one of us.
That’s my fear. They are the ruling billionaire class for a reason. The retaliation is going to be brutal. The distractions are going to be insane. Something big will happen to divide us all again…
Tu as bien raison mais le petit peuple n'a pas le droit de tuer. C'est un privilège de pouvoir le faire et ça prend beaucoup d'argent et de poivoirpour ne pas en subir les conséquences.
A conscience needs either fear or empathy.....Not many cases of companies empathizing are there? I guess fear might have an effect....more security or change your ways? Wanna bet on which path they choose?
It will only work if it’s not outsourced to for-profit insurance companies. Also, the current government is controlled by the ruling billionaire class… I don’t think Medicare for All is in our best interests as long as it’s still billionaire controlled.
I get being pushed to insanity. It doesn't make it right but people count on their insurers. Years ago needed back surgery. No help. Really? Had the surgery and because I ran a free advocacy clinic for kids with disabilities an angel jumped in. I was fortunate. Most people aren't.
I suspend judgement in this case because like a modern Jean Valjean the shooter was a victim of a grossly inequitable system where he himself & millions were denied needed health care after paying premiums to receive it.
I don't condone it, but if his family doesn't get a good lawyer for him, I'm willing to donate, say, $25. And I'll wager there are a more than a few thousand people who agree with that.
Having worked for a UHS subsidiary, I can tell you they're profit driven. They don't care about patients, families or their employees. They're all about the bottom line. And ruthless.
If one of the ruling class is murdered there is an outcry and police and FBI is mobilized for a manhunt. For the thousands of murdered average people every year nothing similar happens. They see obviously some people as more valuable as others...
Private insurance companies don’t want to insure age 65+ Americans. That’s why Medicare was establish during LBJ Administration. It’s a lifeline for seniors. Trump is a senior determined to kill seniors. Hospitals need Medicare to stay open. “Concepts of a plan” is a disaster waiting to happen.
Medicare Advantage isn’t Medicare. They use that name falsely. It’s bad coverage. Best coverage is joining Medicare and purchasing a good Supplemental plan. My husband has been hospitalized several times. He’s 77. We have never received a bill. It’s covered.
I can attest to that...we had to pay out of pocket or should I say out of debt over 150,000.$ in med bills for our daughter that we're not approved, kids autistic, needed more care than insurance wanted to give us. we fought with an attorney, no good
It’s important to make it loud and clear that violent crime is perpetrated by these companies anonymously every single day, and almost always without punishment. While the violence against BT is understandable, we need to address these issues in a civilized manner.
Killing a sociopath responsible for the death and suffering of millions isn't a horrible crime. It's a perfectly understandable crime, that walks right up to the border of justice.
Nothing justifies vigilantism (in a civilised country). America is the self-described beacon of democracy. In a democracy you get the government you deserve. Brian Thompson is a symptom not a cause.
America is not a democracy when all of the political options are bought and paid for by the ruling billionaire class. We only have an illusion of choice. America exists for one purpose and that is to further the wealth and control of the billionaires, by any means necessary, at any human expense.
Occupant-47's installation was orchestrated at many levels-the failure of media to hold him to a normal standard was clear....a lot of hidden folks want him to be a bright shiny object to distract....
Literally every media source is billionaire owned. Everyone thinks that state-sponsored/controlled media is such a bad idea but it’s exactly what we have. The ruling class controls the media. There is no freedom of the press when the press cannot speak out against their overlords.
Take away the personhood status of corporations or assign personal criminal accountability for each registered corporation. It’s not enough to render a civil verdict. A real breathing citizen should ALSO be held to account in the event of a negligent homicide(s)
People were suspecting Luigi Mangione of being a hired hitman before he got caught. But Brian Thompson was paid millions to torture and kill people. 🤷♂️

As long as you think that every time a soldier takes a life it's a horrible crime. Every single time. Otherwise this is not a horrible crime. Most people think he should have a medal. Do you think soldiers should get medals? Or jail?
The entire story is incredibly heartbreaking. I view it from a place of compassion. Compassion for the CEO’s family loss & trauma & compassion for the human suffering that Mangione clearly endured. Human suffering breaks people. But violence should never be tolerated, celebrated or normalized
Bernie has always been right and I'll always loathe the DNC for robbing us of his presidency which should be wrapping it's second term right now... how much better off would we be today? It's so sad.

and why?????
You can dump all resources you want, but you won't polish a turd.
He has to be tried and convicted by a jury of his peers.
I don't condone violence by the way, but I think in the meantime there were other murders in NYC and nobody is talking about them.
Luigi said it well: The idea the violence is never the answer is the position of predators and cowards.
But that violence was motivated by even greater violence of corporations against the People.
And sometimes there is no way out save violence.
The Corporate America must be thankful for this little violence; because what is needed is a revolution!
I condone the fuck out of it and i always will.
Free global health care should be the norm.
