For a while, I thought a liberal version of Infowars might be good to fire them up a bit. Then this Russia stuff became their version of Qanon and I realized I had been a fool.
It's tough because, at least from where I'm sitting, Putin does have his hands in these events, but I think these folks overplay it as him being some overgenius mastermind of evil and not just a guy who Trump and Co happen to be aligned with.
i can't with these ppl - if they don't want to engage w/the dems policy failures, they COULD just blame race-based vote suppression - republicans are so open about that shit it barely even qualifies as a sneaky "conspiracy" but nope. RUSSIA!RUSSIA!RUSSIA! fucking nitwits.
I like how this person is talking about here with authority while only being here for 3 months. Doubt they know much about users on this site before that.
I'm always confused why they're all so angry when people use cartoon avatars. They're all obviously Gen X at least so they remember the days of forums when that's all anyone ever used.
If I wanted to defend Harris (and I don't), I would say that we can't be entirely sure what her policies would be once elected, and the mistake was letting DNC wonks tell Harris/Walz how to run their campaign.
The other problem is that infowars isn’t a fun conspiracy show, it’s running cover for Christian extremist terrorism, militia violence, anti-Semitism and general hate. There isn’t really a lefty version of this that isn’t just tankie shit, which isn’t much better than infowars.
