It was accepted science that as you were exposed to viruses in early life, you built up resistance to them. It's why your 2nd go-round with a virus was never as bad as when you were naïve.
Then COVID came along, & we threw the entire concept of immune memory out the window.

Same with noting the difference between good bugs and pathogens.
Because we don't know anything about those kids and to be fair there are mitigating factors to why certain children become ill more regularly
Like maybe they had been diagnosed with disability hell even autism comes with a lot of physical comorbidities
It did note that all the mothers were healthy
It would be interestingig the children here, later in life were diagnosed with anything disability wise
